Introduction

Heyho, I'm Taqtics,
and I want to welcome you to my very first guide on MobaFire, featuring Lee Sin, the Blind Monk. I highly encourage you to try it out before voting and I would be very glad about any constructive criticism you can give. Remember that a cheat sheet is just a TIP how you could build a specific champions, no rule which has to be followed every single time. But no more skirmish, let's go into the guide ! :)

About Me

I don't think that I can say much here, but maybe you should know, that I
  • am not a pro, but constantly working on my skills
  • play for the Team Secrets of Strategy as their Solo Top
  • just wanted to show my thoughts about Lee Sin, and hear the thoughts of other about mine

So now lets talk about what you've come for here, Lee Sin :)

Pros / Cons

So why should you choose Lee Sin, the blind monk ?

Pros
  • Awesome mobility due to his skill kit and his high base movement speed
  • Incredibly high AD ratios result in an awesome damage without too much items
  • His early-game advantage is unmatched by the most lane opponents
  • He can be built pretty tanky while still maintaining his damage
  • Energy based so you'll nearly never be out of ressources
  • Strong lane sustainability granted by his Safeguard
  • Nice utility due to his knockback/knockup with Dragon's Rage and his slow with
    Tempest
SPACE

Cons
  • He may be focused hard if doing well, and can be shut down under hard CC
  • His damage falls of a bit in lategame and he gets more of a attention-drawing Offtank
  • Even if he has several gap-closers, he is melee-ranged
  • He is just near to Chuck Norris
  • He is blind

Masteries

The mastery setup I use is a pretty standart 21-9-0 setup to maximize my early damage while still increasing my survivability.

Abilities

So, now I want to talk about his Abilities, so you can understand his model better and could better follow my gameplay section.

Flurry

After Lee Sin uses an ability, his next 2 basic attacks gain 40% Attack Speed and return 15 Energy each.

This actually very important passive is often overlooked by "new" Lee Sin Player's. It provides you with the energy you need to stay in longer duels with your lane opponent or to just keep being a threat in teamfights. The provided Attack Speed is the reason why you don't really have to build some of it since it's pretty much enough.

Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike

Sonic Wave: Lee Sin projects a discordant wave of sound to locate his enemies, dealing 50/80/110/140/170 (+) physical damage to the first enemy it encounters. If Sonic Wave hits, Lee Sin can cast Resonating Strike for the next 3 seconds.

Resonating Strike: Lee Sin dashes to the enemy hit by Sonic Wave, dealing 50/80/110/140/170 (+) physical damage plus 8% of their missing Health (Max: 400 damage vs. Monsters)

Safeguard / Iron Will

Safeguard: Lee Sin rushes towards a target ally, shielding them both for 40/80/120/160/200 (+0.8) damage over the next 5 seconds. If a shield is broken, half the Energy cost is returned. After using Safeguard, Lee Sin can cast Iron Will for the next 3 seconds.

Iron Will: Lee Sin's intense training allows him to thrive in battle. For 5 seconds, Lee Sin gains 5/9/13/17/21% Lifesteal, Spell Vamp, and 10/15/20/25/30 Armor.

Tempest / Cripple

Tempest: Lee Sin smashes the ground, sending out a shockwave that deals 60/95/130/165/200 (+) magic damage and reveals enemy units hit for 4 seconds. If Tempest hits an enemy, Lee Sin can cast Cripple for the next 3 seconds.

Cripple: Lee Sin cripples nearby enemies revealed by Tempest for 4 seconds, reducing their Movement and Attack Speed by 30/37.5/45/52.5/60%. Movement and Attack Speed recover gradually over the duration.

Dragon's Rage

Lee Sin performs a powerful roundhouse kick launching an enemy champion back, dealing 200/400/600 (+) physical damage to the target and any enemies they collide with. Enemies the target collides with are knocked into the air for a short duration.
