I suppose you could get Mejai's instead of Abyssal, but you'll have to get 6-7 assists before you even match abyssal's AP and then you don't even have the MR reduction on enemies. Also if you play with a team who doesn't see Soraka as OMGWTFBBQHAXSHE'SOP(As I've had several people tell me, LOL @ OP Soraka) they will do what any ****py MMO player knows by heart: KILL THE HEALER FIRST NOT THE TANK DIPWAD! :P In such a case it will be difficult to KEEP your stacks after you get them.
Yea, exactly my thoughts. Before the nerf it could have been really nice.
@Dudewhereismycat
Snowball items are for ***s :P
There's just too much luck involved to get them with champs without good escape abilities.
Nice name btw ^^
I doubt that rally is as useful as other options.. It does NOT give you 80+in heal.. It gives 20-70 depending on lvl. But to get it you have to spend lots of mastery points that could have been spent on better things.
Well I made this build before the nerfs to Soraka and Rally. While yes it only gives 70 AP at lvl 18, Astral Blessing used to(I believe) have a slightly higher AP ratio than 1.0 making the actual healing boost around 80+. BUT it also boosted Wish's healing by 200 FOR EACH CHAMP in addition to giving your allies extra damage, making it extremely useful for team fights. However with the nerfs to Soraka's AP ratios and the removal of Rally's passive HP regen I really can't justify taking it anymore.
The pub game I was in started horribly. I was 0-3-0, and my team was 1-9. I had to make a few changes to the build to make it work for the game though. Both the enemy team and my team were mostly physical damage, so instead of Abyssal Scepter I went with Rylai's. Also, I had to pump Astral Essence earlier than this build because my team was getting rocked. About midgame, we started to actually move in groups and did quite well.
It eventually got to the point where we lost all of our inhibitors, but made one final 4 man push (with 1 base defender) to steal the win. I ended up 4/5/21 She's so beastly in group fights. I bought her after this tryout game.
Very nice guide btw.
Mana Manipulator -> Mejai's Soulstealer -> Boots of Mobility -> Abyssal Scepter, Innervating Locket etc.
If you want to buy Mejai's - buy it at the beginning. I always have 15-20 stacks at her, and never bought item after Innervating Locket - game ended, opponents surrendered because of our immortality - Soraka PWNS!
