Fiddlesticks is currently crippled, climbing on rank ladder is extremely difficult.

The following reasons make fiddlesticks nearly impossible to excel.

• New champions has excellent mobility
• New items give mobility
• New rune system give bruisers durability and mobility
• Bruisers has burst damage with new items
• Heavily nerfed Fear duration
• Fear is still allowing pre-casted spells to work (Xin Zhao Three Talon Strike ignores fear)
• Support has much better sustain in lane
• Fiddlesticks attack range remains as one of the shortest
• Fiddlesticks has extreme small health scaling
• Drain can no longer sustain because most champions has small 'stun' with them
• You can win a 0/0 game. However, 5/5 means you already lost since you scale terribly with gold.

In order to survive the current meta with an outdated kit, we must find something speical!

This guide is not as in depth with the others, as the intended reader should be veteran fiddlesticks players.

I personally has more than 7000 fiddlesticks games played through out my league career.
You can definitely trust me with my view on the current state of the game.

The only way to farm gold as Fiddlesticks is to wait. In a standard game where you fight around dragon you will have about 4-5k gold.

Poke as hard as you can to gain a little bit more but that's it.

Since nothing can be done for getting more gold, with this little amount of gold all utilities needs to be sacrificed.

The goal is to rush Rabadon's Deathcap, you will have 280 AP, slowly building to 500AP once you reach the 30 mins mark. For a normal support fiddle you can expect you have next to none damage at the 30 mins mark.

This is critical as you will still able to comeback/carry your team even you score 1/7 since you can always rely on gold generated by time.

Once you go in, you only walk out from the fountain. Your goal is to trade yourself for a carry, or threaten to do so for zoning.

For early laning, poke well but not try hard, the build is self sustained, you should have no pressure for getting kills, play passively with your ADC and feed as less as possible.

Try to getting ahead is a 50/50 game, maybe worse for fiddle. However, this doesn't mean it is worth it for fiddle to contest bot lane. Because fiddle always lose games if feed early, but does not guarantee a win if ahead because Fiddle can't push/snowball as support.

With the Deathcap you should able to burst down any target, with your ally behind wining any team fight if sight control is established.

This build should work until mid diamond, where it requires absolute map control, you will rarely find a single target to take down.

This build is consistent. Rely on passive gold leveraging a critical mass of AP.
