Nope. You are a support. Supports have lower income, even if they are better than they were in S3. Therefore they must still be cost-effective with what they buy, otherwise you waste stats (20% CDR excess is 644g you are wasting - equivalent to another ~220 hp or other similar stat). If you had better gold generation and still built aura, I'd probably agree with you. But you are a support and you can't simply buy several high-cost aura items.

Besides, his overall guide is just bad anyway. 25 points in Utility? Gold runes? Nomad's Medallion in SITUATIONAL? No, thank you.

Another player who hasn't tried the build probably. Let me make this clear, as support, with my build, I always get the highest gold end game (higher than ADC that has been given kills from me supporting). 40 min into game, I'll have 6 slots filled max.

I play a build very similar to this.

@Bobwithlobsters - The cool down cap doesn't matter because the team benefits of the items outweigh the excess.

The difference that I have in my item build is that my core includes Deathfire Grasp. This is because your damage is from your teammates. Increasing damage by 20% from all magic sources is how you can finish off anyone one you Rocket Grab. Basically, if I grab an ADC, the team kills them instantly. If I grab a tank (which most lol players will say not to do), I Deathfire Grasp him and he also dies (sometimes instantly, if your team has massive burst heroes). Also, the extra AP is great with anyone.

From your core, I have 2 which are situational. Locket, Sightstone and Frozen Heart are always in my core.
Zeke's Herald - Only if your team has lots of AD heroes.
Abyssal Scepter - Only if your team has lots of AP heroes.
If you have 2 AD and 2 AP allies, then you can probably do both. Having 3 of 1 (3 AD or 3 AP allies) will tell which item to go and which to give up for an extra slot.

I also use Talisman of Ascension instead of the Relic Shields because the benefit of the active is best for team fights. Rushing in to initiate or rushing out to escape can prove to be why you win, or if your team escapes. Also note the 20% CDR (I'll explain regarding masteries).

In the Masteries, I don't recommend the Sorcery because 5% early in the game isn't that great. All Blitz skills early in the game isn't useful with a 5% CDR. The aspd for extra damage when you do land a grab, I personally feel, is more of a benefit. Because I go Talisman of Ascension first, I get 20% CDR, so Sorcery isn't needed in my build.

To everyone else who hasn't tried this build or just gave a -1 because they feel it won't work. It really does work! The only reason it won't work is...you don't have a team (players who never group up). I do want to add that with this build, I recommend you end games early because once you get to the very end game (50min+ games) you'll have too much gold to spend. (I recommend selling boots, buying consumable boost items, and repurchase your boots). I always have highest gold count when games finish (and assists).

To end my comment, Favorite Blitz CacacacacacacaaaaooOOOOMBO!

Overdrive (run up to them) > AA > Powerfist (resets) > AA > Rocket Grab (if they flash or run) > AA > Exhaust > AA > AA > Powerfist > Run away so teammates can get kill (remember, you're support). Feel free to Static Field somewhere in the combo to silence or clear minions for clear Rocket Grabbing.

I would recommend changing up the item build due to exceeding the cool down reduction Cap. With your items and masteries you have 60% cdr when you max out cdr at 40%. maybe replace frozen heart with something else for Armor.

Could you at least say what you mean by wrong so I can improve the guide?

I'll recheck the guide to make sure I explained this well, but the build is centered around a gold generation optimization to offset this problem without ruining the 0 cs support role. Usually it takes me about 20-30 minutes to get the most important auras, and about 45-55 minutes to get to full build despite the high item costs.

As for that - I mentioned in my Ten Commandments that if you don't have your ideal runes, just fill in the ideal runes anyway - nothing's stopping you from filling in what you don't have. Keep that in mind for subsequent guides. 8Db

Thanks for filling me in on the runes. I've been saving for better support runes, but wasn't sure what to use - I just kinda winged it for the guide. I made the build mainly for the fun itemization. I've updated the guide with your advice.

You should only run runes from the following choices:

Reds: Flat armor. Magic pen is also possible but not that great on Blitzcrank. Mana should NEVER be on runes if you're not Ryze.

Yellows: Flat armor or mana regen. Gold not recommended.

Blues: Either flat or scaling MR. CDR not recommended if you're not Soraka.

Quints: Gold is good. Movement speed is another possibility.

I've made some adjustments to the guide to make some clarifications, especially the importance of warding - i didn't mean to downplay its impact. Any recommendations on how to change the runes to make this more effective?

Sorry but no warding at lategame? If you are stacking aura items it won't help your team at all without wards. The aura items are good if you can counter the enemy team with it, not stacking all of them. But check out my guides if you want, i gave you a +1 :)
