Philo Stone, to me, doesn't seem worth the gp/10 for the stats. Ashe still doesn't wanna get hit and uses a fairly small amount of manna. I'd almost rather get an early Kage's Lucky Pick for the gp/10, since her ult goes off 100% AP. Sight Stone, as you say, is definitely worth looking into before Zeke's though. When I rush Zeke's, I still have to buy my wards every time back until later. Will try that out.

I have been using Support Ashe for a while now (still haven't taken her to ranked yet - I don't think I could handle the flaming, lol), and I've been finding the best thing to do is actually rush Zeke's Herald. With Ashe having no natural supportive spells like Alistar's Triumphant Roar or Taric's Imbue, the AoE Life Steal is very important. If your ADC starts with Doran's Blade, then he will have plenty of sustain in the early game, allowing him to get Infinity Edge before even dipping into a Vampiric Scepter.

Ashe has such dreadful Move speed that I take Boots of Swiftness - really helps in escaping since she has none of her own, and it helps with the sticking power from her Q, giving time for your ADC to catch up and grab the kill. Which is why I also max Q before W. While you can poke the enemy with W well, I have found that poking with your Q up is better. It procs your Pick Pocket (which is VERY important, imo), slows them just the same, and you don't push the minion wave/accidentally steal CS from your carry.

Basically, Support Ashe is viable if you auto-attack a champ every single time pick pocket is ready to proc again, because that's her best form of "feeding." I also like Locket of the Iron Solari if my jungler/top hasn't got it, because CDR is very good for Ashe, since mid/late game, her Ult is what will win the game, so the more you can use it, the better.

In conclusion, yes, she is viable. But I would add that her Q is her most important (non ult) ability for many many reasons, that Zeke's is HIGHLY important to both her and her lane partner, and that Pick Pocket is your best friend.

TL;DR version, +1, because it does work. =]

You have made some very interesting points. I have not yet thought of rushing Zeke's Herold for sustain, but the worst part of it would be, is no gold flow. You can spend 10 minutes (for examples sake) for a zekes only, or you can get philo stone, and sightstone (also for examples sake) for great gold income to buy those top notch items easily. It is really about different playstyles. I use this build to get great damage mid/late game. If you rush Zeke's, then you will not get those items in 40 minutes.

Thanks again for your feedback! It is a great tip of others want to try that build, hey, I may try it too!

This really helped me out when me and my friends wanted to try and make some of the weirdest builds for the characters we used. I ended up going Support Ashe since we lacked a Support for this game. And we still surprisingly won the game somehow despite the really odd builds we had. And about me having Ignite as one of my summoner spells instead of Clairvoyance, well it was only after the game had loaded when I decided to switch to Support instead of AP which was my original intention.

While I probably won't rely on Ashe being my main Support character anytime soon, I'll definitely keep this in mind since there might be a time when I would really need to go Support Ashe.

I've tried support Ashe when I started playing LoL, and it was awesome. The only problem was that lots of people thought I was trolling and threatened to report me. They never apologized after we won the game and I had like double the assists when the mean person. Hope this guide will/can change the opinion on Ashe. (I am not saying that Ashe can't be AD Carry, just saying that Support Ashe is useful). +1!

I was in ranked and team decided to be a **** and take solotop and mid (malz; im an main ap player), and i was last pick, they left me the support role, but alli (my only support) was picked and I remembered seeing this guide, so i took Ashe, they started insulting me and stuff calling me noob xD... The enemies were better but tho we still won, and I assume i did pretty beast as a support (:

2/8/22 and a screen (:

At the time I tested this i didn't have fortitude quints so I got Quints of avarice, seals of avarice and also maxed the greed mastery, combined with the hawkshot passive. late game this is very rewarding.
Also we had another support in our teaam, so I replaced the Aegis of Legion for Black Cleaver because well, you know damage wins games. and the armor penetration comes in very handy for the team. (maybe yuumus ghostblade would be good too? idk)

i ended up with 28 assists and I was the second highest gold earner of the game (right after the carrying validimir)
here you hve a screenshot.

Quite different to my approach (and damn it, when I started writing my own guide, there was no support Ashe build in here, now I'll look like a copycat if/when I get around finishing it :< ) which I'll hopefully get around posting sooner or later. As for the 80% challenge, I would be quite interested in Supportdinger guide (something I started writing even before Ashe but never got around finishing) just to see how our approach differs there.

I tryed this out once but with a little different build. Support Ashe with Rylais Crystal Scepter is just dat slow ... Seriously you should try it out your Volley should slow then so they are almost stunned. I like thiis :D

That build makes no sense but yes Support Ashe is viable under the right conditions.
