For my introduction I'd like to let you all know that after not playing Janna for close to 2-3 months, I tried her out and found that I can wreck as her. Being a support is amazing as Janna, because you have a shield, heal, slow, AND knock up! I played 6 games, back to back, and won all of them with an overwhelming amount of assists. I will post pictures later. Some of my scores include: 4-5-19, 3-1-9, 3-2-18, 2-2-16, and 3-1-4.

Smart casting is a MUST for any good Janna. It works WONDERS for your Q. Go to options, key bindings, and then look for smart cast Q, W, E, R. Change all to QWER instead of ctrl + QWER. Play around with the smart casting before you try to play seriously, it will also drastically improve your Ezreal skills.

I chose the AP runes for good early game, and also the mana regen runes work wonders for that. If you effectively use your Q ability, you will dominate the game, early and late. Your ARE the main support, even if you have a Soraka or Karma with you. Janna is THE support of the game. Her survivability is spectacular, along with her ability to help other champions.

These masteries are for the good of your survivability. The extra mana regen for early game is what will keep you in lane for basically the whole game, until you need to go buy items. The most important ability you have IS your Q. Its almost impossible to kill a Janna that keeps knocking you up, and, when using your W, slowing you.

When laning as Janna, your Q is, once again, most important. If your about to get a kill, or let your laning partner get the kill, you can quickly, WITH SMART CASTING!!, use your Q to knock them up and them get the kill. Its great early, and if your team isn't faring well, use your Q quickly, and effectively, to keep your team from wiping (Getting ace'd). Stay in your lane as long as you can, and allow your Q to charge all the way and go on its own, and you will not regret the damage it puts out at level 1. If allowed to charge fully, it does around 130 damage. At level 1! Your lane the same against any champ. They all melt under a good Janna's fury!

The best thing to do is use Janna as a support, but with this build she can also be fearsome with her Q+W combo. I just finished a game as Janna, going 8-11-18 (my team was fond of leaving me to die) and my Q+W combo almost would kill the enemy Lux, and I could easily finish her off with my auto attack. You must also remember that your shield not only blocks damage, but also increases your targets damage output, and is AMAZING to put on your ad carry. Your ultimate, Monsoon, is a great way to escape. Such as: You are surrounded by the enemy team, and your Q is down, what do you do? If they are close, use your ult. Hit R, than continue running, for you do not need your ult any other time.... by then, your Q should be back up and you got away scott-free!

Also, while fiddling around with Janna, you may not know, but you can shield your turret. Yes, your turret. The only champion in this game allowed to do it! It has saved towers many times and is a great tool to help win the game!
