Why heals first?

This build I made because I was laning with an absolute idiot and I was sick of watching stupid people die. It helped him stay alive long enough to help me get kills and I ended up supporting/carrying the rest of the game to come out 9-0-5. This build focuses on mana regen and cooldowns as well as some heavy ap to dominate late game.
