Swain is when played right maybe one of the best champions there is. With his skills he is really good in solo gank (1vs1 recommended) and he's also very good in team gank or as i like to call it: BACKRAPE TIME! and it's a sure kill ;) Swain is the so called master tactician and i think he certainly is ;) Just follow my tips and my build and i promise you a TOTAL VICTORY ;)

+ Pros
Really strong with DoT spells.
Reallt OverPowered when it's about Gank.
Tougher than most mages.
Great staying power in the lane once he hits six.
Has a Snare and a Slow.
Has a stick to spank you with xD

- Cons
Not really an escaper, with a slow movement speed (BUT CAN BE FIXED WITH FLASH/GHOST!)
Like most mages he's pretty squishy at the start of the game.
Looks like Russian xD (Not Racist just a joke, i have nothing against other people)

spells i mainly use:

Exhaust is a great spell to escape or RAPE!

Ghost is a awesome spell to run to your teammates, either following an enemy, running away and things like that.


Other summoner spells that fit Swain also very well:
Flash is a great way to Backrape or run away.
Clarity With this your mana regen will be INSANE!!
Ignite DO MORE DAMAGE TO THOSE WEAKLINGS!!!

TIP: U dont have to take these runes u can also for an instance, choose the greater seal of force as abilty power booster (which gives you a less abilty power boost)and choose the greater quintessence of intellect as the mana booster (which gives you more mana)

Remember ITS UR CHOICE!

As for the masteries I cant tell much about them. I just chose the masteries that would fit an attacking mage the best (In my oppinion) and i also chose for the buff for increased ghost and ignite. One thing I ALWAYS CHOOSE is the mastery to recall faster to your base. THIS IS CRITICAL.... ESPECIALLY AS A MAGE!!

ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND (A MAGE IS NOT A HIGH HP OR DEF CHAMP SO DONT GO TO THE FRONTS TO RECKLESS!)

How to play with Swain?

The choice is Your's:

You want to go for the kills? GO FOR MID LANE! You are soloing the lane and u can be sure to make some kills in early game if u play correctly.

You want to go for safety? GO TO UPPER LANE OR BOTTOM LANE! You can be sure not to die if you are a great teamplayer and so is your teammate. You can still make kills but BE AWARE... you dont always have to get the kills. Your teammate can get the kill or ks you.


Either way u can rape late game with this build. The only slight difference is, how do YOU want to play? It doesnt matter which one you choose, because the outcome will be the same... TOTAL DESTRUCTION!

This is my second build and not just one, it's a build for one of my fav OverPowered champs...SWAIN!

U know with this build he is just badass. In early game ur decent with this build. But in late game U ARE RAPE!!! because ur damage is so high and with ur ulti u gain hp so u get a badass hp regen and with the 3 archangels u get 100+ mana regen per 5 sec. So u can sustain ur ulti form for a very long time if u wanted ;)

The reason why i chose for 1 nashor is because i wanted his attack speed to be above 1 and with this item it is.

So u have decent movement speed, decent attack speed, abnormal mana regen, abnormal hp regen with ur ulti, and pretty high abilty power. Try this build out i swear to god u like it if u want to be rape ;)
