Ok, first of you want to graband 2.

Swain is really mana dependant so every time you're at camp you should grab 1 or 2. When you have 1330
recall and get Tear of the goddesand Boots of speed.

If you are able to, take mid. But you will do just fine laning as well. When laning though, try to team with some like Garren or Tryndamere. In other words, champions which can take a hit and do some damage.

In early game you'll want try and last hit with auto attack and harras your opponent with Decrepify
Everyone is afraid of slows, so when you hit them with Q, Decrepify, you should try and get some auto attacks on them too, as they are backing away. Always be carefull though, and don't be too greedy or cocky.

Now I like to max out Decreptify first to get the extra slowing effect. Which in my experience is good when helping your team mates to get a kill. It's also usefull for escaping. However, maxing out torment first is not a bad Idea. It depends on your playstyle, what works best for you. (I like to try to go for early ganks where the slow is very usefull.) But remember that torment will still be maxed out at level 13. That is still in mid game, and if you went middle lane, not that much time will have passed at that point, so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

And maxing out torment will not ensure you a kill in mid by that much more then decrepify.

As you level up, keep harrasing with your spells first W, Nevermore to stun them, then Q
to slow them down, and finish with E, Torment, leaving them with a DoT (Damage of Time)
that'll make them keep running.

Keeping your opponent away from the minions is a good way to level past them. It'll also keep their income low.

Mid game you should now have.
When possible assist the outer lanes, wait for the right moment in the brushes.

Attack with W, NevermoreR, Ravenous flockQ, Decreptifyand E, Torment. Then chase them down with Q W and E. Remember that
you can use Flashto get close enough to cast Q and then W and E.

You can also go, flash Q R W E Q. (you might have to use clarity in there somewhere aswell). This is better if your position is know to enemy. IE, you're in plain sight.

Around level 10 you should do your best to always have the Blue Golem Buff, as this will
benifit your ultimate alot.

Now, Sprit VisageWill improve the health you gain from your ultimate, keeping you alive longer.

Also if you feel like it is going to be a good game, you might want to get mejais soulstealerinstead of the 2nd Archangel's staff and possibly before getting Spirit visage.

If the game is going on long enough, your item list should looks like this:


Because of your ulitmate, your opponents will most likly be trying to take you down
first. That means you have to be carefull in team fights, mind your position. Stay on the
edge, close enough to reach with your ultimates attacks but don't go rushing into the

Thanks to theand blue golem buff you will almost never run out of mana. But when you reach about half you
should use Clarity. Because if you are out of mana, you are out of luck... And are most likly dead.

Resoning for Stacking Archangel's staff:
With 3 Archangels you start out with 45AP, 400M, 25MP5s. Now that x3 = 135AP, 1200M, 75MP5s. And its UNIQUE Passive, "Each time your Champion uses an Ability their Maximum Mana will increase by 4 Mana. This effect has a 3 second cooldown. Bonus caps at 1000 mana."

Now that is 4200M when the cap is reached. 3% of that is converted into AP (126AP from just the archangels mana boost) now that is 261AP that + zhonya's ring at 120AP = 381AP and The rings other effect gives you 25% more AP. so we end up at 476,25AP And you still have some mana without the items so that number is actually higher. (I forgott to account the expanded mind's mana buff at 5%. But I re-did the math and it ends with 484,125AP.)

Some final comments, Be afraid of dying, buy mana potions, and remember you can and will die if you get too greedy or cocky. Play it cool and keep your head. It's just a game after all, so try and have fun with it. Even a loosing game is good practice.
