Hey guys I am a Wood 6 jungler who got carried to Plat by Amumu

When playing Amumu I like to have
1. CDR
2. Tankiness
3. Enough Mana (or regen) for extended fights
4. Damage

Why Rod of Ages?
Amumu must build mana (many people opt for frozen heart or righteous glory) because he will go OOM in fights unless he has blue buff and you cannot depend on always having blue buff (especially if your midlaner needs it). Amumu also needs to build HP for tankiness. Righteous Glory is good for your team but pretty much useless for Amumu since he can't be kited with his Q on a 5 second cooldown.

Why Lucidity boots?
CDR is king on Amumu, I value a 5 second cooldown on his Q very highly (if you land Q then Ult your target only has ~1.5 seconds to do anything before your Q is up again). Tabi and Mercs are both good choices but I think these boots are worth it to allow us to build our other items without worrying about CDR.

Why Thornmail?
Since we have already built 2 HP items we can add items that provide resistances w/o HP. Thornmail makes you a nightmare for any adc (even vayne cant kill you before you kill her most of the time). Plus Amumu's OP passive increases the damage on this thing by about 15% on ADCs and once you build Abyssal the damage increases even more.

Why Abyssal Scepter?
AOE flat magic resist debuff combined with Amumu's AOE damage AND flat magic resist debuff passive means he makes better use of this item than any other champion. You can do true damage to squishies no Void Staff needed.

Why Liandry's?
More pen, more % hp dmg, more HP, everything Amumu loves



This build amazing in terms of damage/utility/tankiness AND its only ~13k for the entire build (compare that to a typical ADC build which costs ~16k)
