Intro.

A fan of Yorick? Then have you entered in the right area. Yorick is an amazing character with a lot of opportunities in both builds and playing style. When i play yorick i just love to run around and smack them with my amazing shovel and give them a hell with my ghouls. So let's dig up some ghouls with this build.

Lore.

The work of gravediggers is essential amongst the living, but invaluable in the Shadow Isles. There are many shades of death there, and each is embraced rather than feared or reviled. One can only ascend from one state to the next with the magical aid of a skilled professional. At the end of the first Rune War, Yorick Mori made his living as a gravedigger. His family owned and maintained the Final Rest Memorial, one of the oldest cemeteries in Valoran. The shovel he employed for his work had been passed down for generations. Each gravedigger taught his son that this shovel was imbued with the spirit of every forefather, and that those spirits would protect him during the long lonely nights amongst the tombstones. To his eternal regret, Yorick died without an heir, bringing the proud Mori line to a close. His body was interred with his shovel in the family mausoleum, and the Final Rest Memorial soon fell to ruin. Death, however, was not the end Yorick had expected.

Yorick emerged on the haunted shores of the Shadow Isles - not quite dead, definitely not alive - still clutching his beloved shovel. He soon learned that with it he could act as a ferryman for the Isles' undead denizens, helping them climb death's many-tiered ladder. This proved a curse, as a gravedigger must ''bury his quota'' before he too can ascend, or so the legend goes. No one knows what ''his quota'' is. Yorick dug tirelessly, waiting in vain for the day when he would be freed of his burden. As decades turned to centuries, the shame of his failures came to a head. He returned to Valoran to find his corpse, convinced that salvation might be buried with it. When he arrived, no trace remained of either the mausoleum or the memorial. Hope nearly lost, he discovered the League of Legends, and there saw an opportunity to immortalize the family name he allowed to be forgotten ages ago.

Good stuff and bad stuff.

Good stuff:

- Giving good support and making nice damage at the same time.
- a bit tanky for your own survival.
- You've got loads of mana on just that manamune.
- Nice healing early game.

Bad stuff

- Very easily killed if you're going to aggresive.
- Not the highest damage output but enough to make you giggel a bit.

Items.

This build is mainly for a more tanky/support/damage role. My set up is aimed mainly for doing damage and outheal damage in early game. Then later on i focus on some more support items like Randuin's and Shurelya's. The Manamune is basicly to get out some more damage than with full support gear. I did not include pots cause you'll build pots if you want to during the game. The GA can be changed depending on the team that you're facing. An option instead of GA is Quicksilver Sash if it's a team with loads of stuns that you're facing.

Runes.

The runes i have chosen gives you more armor but less magic resist due to early game so does it always tend to that the armor is low. The damage runes is for gettign a good early game damage bonus and gives a higher heal with the ghouls. I love having armor penetration against any character so you can spank with the shovel.

Masteries

Well hard to write much about it but i aim to get more damage to the runes instead of going with the more "tanky" masteries.

Skills.

This is a common stack on Yorick but i like having a little extra damage before level 6 on W and E. The Q is really awesome when it comes to defencive gameplay does it bring you nice damage and a good movement speed buff wich can always help you out. Stacking E gives you a good healing in the early minutes of them game.

Summoner Spells.

I've tried different kind of summoner spells but i've been stuck with Ghost and Ignite due to high movement when having ganks if you go solo top and an easy way to get away from bad guys. Ignite can be changed to Teleport if it favors you.

Summary

So my build is complete please comment and rate. I enjoy playing yorick with this build and it gives me loads of fun. So this was my first build so it might not look so nice as others but i hope you enjoy using it and keep on digging!
