I am a big fan of your previous guide titled "Taric for men". I tried it in a ranked game in season 3 and even though we lost, I've never had as much fun playing Taric. He truly is the manliest champion in all of league of legends. Ever since his change in season 4, I have taken it upon myself to come up with the PERFECT universal manly Taric item build that will win you every single game you ever play.
Here are some things to consider about Taric:
-His damage scales with how much physical damage he doesn't take
-His heal scales with how much health he has
That being said, Taric is unique in that his early game is incredible, his mid-game is also incredible, and his late game is incredible as well. While I remember you previously said that mid lane was Taric's lane, I would like to offer a piece of constructive criticism and say that I believe his best lane to be the top lane. More often than not, you will encounter an AD Bruiser top, who likes to try to stack armor penetration (Brutalizer / Last Whisper), while building lots of armor himself. Taric is naturally able to itemize against such a champion, by stacking armor which both improves his damage and mitigates the damage he receives from said champion type. I like to run a full 34 armor rune page (marks, seals, glyphs, and quints) and start Dazzle, get Shatter at level 2, Imbue at level 3, then max Shatter, then for the next skill it really depends on how the lane is going/what you need at the time, and obviously taking Radiance whenever possible. I typically like to start Cloth Armor and 5 health potions on Top Taric, or sometimes a mana potion, and I rush Warden's mail as my first item, whether or not I am winning or losing. This effectively increases your passive and Shatter damage by 10, while significantly reducing the damage you take as well. As for boots, I like to take one of:
-Sorcerer's Shoes (every damaging skill he has deals magic damage)
-Ninja Tabi (armor)
-Mercury's Treads (Tenacity and the only magic resist you'll probably ever need)
If you are losing your lane, opt to get a Randuin's Omen first. The extra health will improve your heal and add more health (derp) and the extra armor will improve your damage and help you take less physical damage.
If you are winning lane, consider purchasing a Frozen heart. The mana and cooldown reduction will help you to be more offensive, the large amount of armor will add damage and help you survive, and the passive is effective as well. Having both of those items is ideal.
Sunfire cape helps with split pushing and also adds a solid amount of damage to your passive and Shatter, and improves your heal. Taric's wave clear with Shatter and Radiance is already quite good, this just improves it.
Thornmail is perhaps one of the manliest options he has, punishing any enemy for simply attacking Taric, while increasing his damage on his passive and Shatter. This item on Taric will strike fear into every physical damage champion on the enemy team, you will essentially be a moving wall with huge damage.
Another very good option is the Iceborn Gauntlet (known as the Frozen Fist from here on out). The item seems as if it was built specifically for Taric, adding 14 damage to his passive and Shatter, and an additional spellblade passive that which means his after-spell auto attacks are HUGE. The cooldown reduction is also quite helpful. However, it does seem like a large investment in mana, which brings me to my next point...
Are you a bad enough dude to take advantage of the fact that Frozen Fist and Frozen Heart together add 900 mana and 165 armor?
If you are absolutely stomping, you might consider getting a Manamune. A fully stacked Manamune/Muramana together with Frozen Fist and Frozen Heart add a total of 58 AD just with the items, an AoE slow field on auto attack that scales off your base AD and armor, as well as 30% cooldown reduction to help you spam abilities to fully stack the manamune. This is one of the manliest options Taric has and you can be sure that those three items together are Taric's secret weapons.
Taking into account Taric's stats at level 18, having Frozen Fist, Frozen Heart, and Muramana, one Shatter + Auto attack combo will deal a total of 653.75 damage (before being reduced by enemy resistances, or taking into account that using that Shatter will reduce the enemy armor by 40), and that is not counting any runes, masteries, other items, or any other buffs/abilities/bonuses from item auras that Taric might have. That is a pretty substantial nuke from such a tanky champion.
Anyways, my lecture is over, please take that as something to consider. Thank you for your guide.
