Introduction
Attack speed marks are best, since you will be regenerating your mana primarily with autoattacks.
I use dodge seals, but mp5 is also a safe bet, as well as hp/lvl.
AP/level glyphs are the only way to go here.
Flat HP quints for the early game is my favourite, but these are really open ended if you feel safe with base HP.

Utility tree all the way. Basically you want ghost, flash, and move speed, the rest you can play with a little bit to your liking. Getting the 9 points in defense tree is also really nice, you're going to be right in the middle of the fight so as much dodge as possible is always a good thing.
Your core build is Spirit Visage, Merc Treads, Nashor's Tooth, and Guinsoo's Rageblade. Aside from these 4 items you can build whatever you need for the current game. Lots of CC? Banshee's Veil of course. Still eating your mana up too fast? Grab Manamune. Having no real trouble? Get some more attack speed/AP such as Malady. Or if you're taking just a bit too much damage from a caster on the other team, grab Wit's End. The final 2 items really can be just about anything, hell grab an Infinity Edge to kill towers faster if you want to.
Taric's Ultimate.
Not a lot of people seem to know when to use this. Some use it when running away to keep their hp regenerating, don't bother. The regeneration isn't the best part about it, the damage is. Use it for taking towers down and use it in teamfights. But be sure to keep an eye on your mana, the longer it is active the more mana it begins to use, with some practice you can get the hang of when to toggle it on and off in teamfights.
Tower diving.
There simply is no equal to Taric for taking towers down. If your team can keep the other team distracted, you can push a lane with or without minions with ease. Your passive makes towers a complete joke. Just walk up to the tower, pop your ult, start attacking, heal whenever you can/need to. With SV your heals are insanely powerful and with the attack speed you'll have your heal will be almost always off cooldown, so just spam it. Again be careful with your ult, you don't need it on permanently for towers either, and sometimes not at all. With practice you'll get used to when it is necessary.
