Intro to this guide.

This guide is being made mainly for my hero analysis video series i will be starting...it is being written only with dominion in mind since its really the only mode i play now adays. The Guide will consist of basic hero analysis(Basic Idea taken from Ghoster88 at dota strategy.) I shall the hero as a whole and a few ways to play said hero. With all that said lets get started!

please also note that this guide will not be discussing how to play the hero so much as just stating a few tips on spells and the item builds. I cannot teach you how to play a hero you must learn by doing...as always try the hero in Vs AI First then move onto PvP Play.

My Reasoning for using the philosophers stone and boots for every start is because i feel it is an amazing starting foot for TF in the end game its not needed to upgrade it but its recommended because as dominion wears on high mobility is key for winning.

Twisted Fate Skills and Overview

Ive been playing LoL for a while now and TF has always been my favorite hero, he was also the first hero i purchased. Hes very versatile hero and has one of the most powerful ultimates in the game, But like all heros he does take some getting used to. He also has a fairly high difficultly cap to be great at him but hes not too difficult.

Skills-All Skills are discussed at max level unless stated otherwise.

===Wild Cards- Cooldown 6
Throws three cards which deal 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+65% of ability power) magic damage to each enemy unit they pass through. Range 1450 Cost 60/70/80/90/100

This ability is just amazing. its a great capture stopping ability and the damage is pretty good, but the best part? It fires 3 Projectiles! They exit at about 33 and 66 degree angles...now if you cant calculate the speed they are going and blah blah..then just stick to hitting one target with your strait forward one.

Now for the bad...The Damage isnt really on par with other pure Heros, it is just because hes a hybrid and this has the potential to hit many people but it is something to mention. aside from that it can be difficult for some to aim and hit with this spell, but really it just comes down to practice.

===Pick A Card- Cooldown 5
Cast once to shuffle the deck and again to choose your card, enhancing your next attack.

Blue Card deals 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+1.0 per attack damage) (+40% of ability power) bonus damage and restores 65% of the bonus damage in mana to Twisted Fate.

Red Card deals 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+1.0 per attack damage) (+40% of ability power) bonus damage to units around the target and slows their movement speed by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% for 2.5 seconds.

Gold Card deals 15 / 22.5 / 30 / 37.5 / 45 (+1.0 per attack damage) (+40% of ability power) bonus damage and stuns the target for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.

The skill this card slinger is known for. The Cards rotate in the order of Blue->Red->Yellow->Blue...This is the spell that gives TF his great versatility and power. it restores mana/slows/stuns all on a short cooldown. The spells rotate at about every 2 seconds and the spell is best used before entering combat rather than entering.

When you choose a card it freezes the timer exactly where you activated it so if you use it at the start of a new card it will be much easier to choose that card again when you cast it again. Generally i use the red card over the others since it does AoE Damage and the slow is pretty great.

Bad-There really is no flaws with the move per say...but in the user...you have to have some decent timing and memorization to learn when to hit for the card you want and what card you leave off at.

===Stacked Deck-

Passive: Every 4 attacks, Twisted Fate deals an additional 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+40% of ability power) damage.

In addition, his attack speed is increased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15% and his cooldowns are decreased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15%.

This is what gives TF his Great AD potential, usually youll want to combine it with the Ionic Spark for added effect. It also Decreases your cooldowns even further which can free up an item spot in certain situations because generally your going to want to hit your cooldown cap.

Bad-This move has no weakness

Destiny-Cooldown 150/135/120 Cost 150/135/120
Reveals all enemy champions (including stealthed champions) for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds.

While Destiny is active, Twisted Fate can teleport with Gate. (5500 range)

This move is amazing, even with the nerf to global teleports a while back. It allows TF to Chase enemy heros get into the middle of a battle or to escape with ease. the cost actually scales down which i think is a mistake with the devs or something since it should be scaling upwards. it also reveals invisible units! :D but that is a bit long i could see a nerf coming soon that scales the vision time down.

The bad-Fairly long cooldown means it does have some limited use until late game. the early cost is a bit much but its something i can live with. The range is alright but it should be scaling upwards since his global doesnt do any damage unlike pantheons. but since i play on dominion it usually covers about a 1/4 of the map. aside from that there is a slight cast time and animation which gives away your position but thats needed for balance.

Personal Grade A
Typical Player Grade B (considering the skill needed to play good)

Personal Build

Stop flaming that is my personal item build and is the way i like to play TF.

Well what kinda stupid item build is that troll la lol lol lol your such a noob

Well you see kind troll the point of the build is to have high skill with TF to make up for the lack in stats...and when the end of the game rolls around or whenever i need to, you simply sell the items(because by that point in time i would have accumulated a ton of gold.) and thus you can buy the entire set you need and do a complete 180 on your stats. This is a great surprise to the enemy team that the weak TF they couldnt catch is suddenly laying down mass destruction and is unkillable 1v1...

My Build also allows me to adjust at the end game to AP/Hybrid/AP or More support style while keeping me at a decent level through out the rest of the game.

and agian it is my personal build and the one i love...dont dis revive it is an amazing skill in dominion and smite is amazing for gaining an early lead in the bottom lane which i take 99.99% of games since i cannot trust my team to hold it.

Attack Damage

TF Makes a Great Ranged AD Hero, he has decent damage but does need a bit of AP to help out his damage since most of his abilities are complemented by AP. Luckily there as a few items that provide stats that benefit TF in AD and AP, such as Nashors Tooth and Trinity Force. The Philosophers stone isnt needed to be upgraded so much and it can be sold to buy needed items with this build to save space as youll be at the cooldown reduction with your passive and NT.

TF is going to have a very high attack speed, Which is why we want to build Tons of critical damage on him, his main damage will come from building 4 stacks and doing great damage there and from hitting big critical strikes that pierce through armor. caster will fear your damage.

Other helpful items with this build are the blood razer and infinity edge.

in the end the stone should be sold for the infinity edge.

Hybrid Build

This is my personal favorite way to play TF. now most people say hybrid is a horrible way to play him but if ud simply take a look at his skill set and the way his stat bonuses work then ull see hybrid is great on TF.

He Gains good bonus on all his abilities when using AP, but he relys on attacking the target as well for his cards which means that building AD as well will automatically give him a damage boost, which is why i feel hes built to run a hybrid build in mind on TF.

Why the mass penetration build? Well because to effectively deal both AD and AP you need to get things that boost your damage in both aspects. You also need some survivability which is why i recommend selling the stone for the scepter in the end game. because it will add the very helpful slow as well as the other stats which makes it a great final item.

AP Build

As with AD TF does need a little but of AD stats(Mainly Attack Speed for his stacked deck) But otherwise the main part of this build is obviously throwing cards and landing ultra high damage Blue card hits.

The Spell Vamp and mass slowing youll have will be great ***ests in letting you survive and the rapid strikes that proc stacked deck will raise your normal attack damage as well.

All in all if you cant play a good hybrid TF then AP TF is differentially the way to go

The main point of this build is to harass early and once you grab your lich bane your going to be a hunter of souls killing anything in your sights.

Support TF

Twisted fate can also be a great support hero for his team...but he isnt really ment for the role. He has a great stun and slow and his ultimate is very powerful. He mainly will grab aruas and hit max cooldown reduction early. While as support he can still deal some decent damage. He becomes even more supportive because of his powerful ulti which will allow him to drop into a team fight and support his team greatly the the auras and shield obtained from the items.(i miss rally....just popping into the start of a team fight and boosting your teams damage output by a ton)

With this build he can disrupt the enemy with slows boost his team with shielding and mobility as well as boosting his teams survival with the spell vamp and life steal, but as ive stated before its doable on TF to support but hes a better asset as a damage focused hero. Id only reccomend this build if your team somehow didnt feel like playing a support hero.

Summing it up

TF is a great hero once you learn the basics of playing him. He can fill almost any role needed and does some great damage. He is my Number one hero and ive had a ton of fun playing him. While i cant recommend him to beginners if your fairly skilled at landing shots and knowing your skills then this is a great hero for you. He doesnt have an I.W.I.N button like most other heros he takes precise timing and skill to be good at and it going to take a lot of practice but if you can master him you can master any hero!...except maybe for Orianna....
