I can't say if it will make you climb higher to the top, but it will grant you many wins for low ranks. I started to build Black Cleaver first to cover up the damage you need in the match. It helps you and your team to burst down the enemy fast due to the applied armor pen. There's no need for a secondary damage item because you want to be a tank for the team. Having the resolve as your secondary rune tree supports the bruiser tank build. Having revitalize and second wind helps you live in extended fights more due to having a decent high HP. The match becomes easier for you to carry as long your teammates don't fall into despair. You're guaranteed a win .
