Kog'Maw is one of the highest skill ceiling ADCs in the game at the moment. Many aspects of him require high mechanics such as learning to kite effectively and having good map and positioning awareness.
At first, Kog'Maw is a very boring champion to play. However over many games of practice and refining your micro and macro skills, you will never look back and see him as an Op champion wondering as to how you never saw it before! He has a very rewarding playstyle and I would like others to see that he takes many games to master and to not stop playing him.
PROS
+ Can shred tanks + Is a late game hyper carry + High skill ceiling + Great synergies with enchanter supports + Rewards good game sense
Kog'Maw rewards good gameplay by shredding players like butter. Once he gets a few kills he can snowball very quickly, allowing you to become a hyper carry. Your high tank shredding capability from Caustic Spittle and Bio-Arcane Barrage will be sure to destroy enemies in this Sunfire/Bruiser meta!
CONS
+ Very squishy + Can be picked off easily + Falls off if behind + Position heavy champion + Useless without W in fights
While Kog'Maw is a strong adc, he is very squishy so squishy in fact a single assassin late game can instantly kill you. This is why positioning well and is a must (taking Exhaust can allow you to make mistakes.) As well as this, your Bio-Arcane Barrage is your main source of damage, playing with it on cooldown will severely reduce your damage output in team fights.
