LDR second item?? is it better to go collector second or pd/runaans second if no tanks? or just always go ldr for the highest dmg?

LDR always does more straight up damage than Collector at second item. Its main weakness used to be buildpath, which since it started to build out of Noonquiver is no longer as much of a concern.

You can still do Collector second for snowballing (securing kills and getting extra gold from those kills) if it doesn't seem they're going to build armor soon, since the damage difference isn't yet as high as it will be, but any armor like Tabis is already enough to push LDR into being much better than Collector. I usually find myself building it second these days, and Collector third.

also what do you think of aphelios mid? doesn't he scale way better?

I don't have much experience with playing Aphelios mid, but typically ADC mids need mobility to have a chance at being stronger than on bot lane, immobile ADCs like Aphelios struggle more in the mid lane ecosystem and trying to survive ganks without vision/peel from their support. He is viable though, just not as good as bot lane. But he's viable so you can play it if you just really prefer that lane. Just make sure you always run , even before its buff solo lane ADCs have always performed significantly better with than with any other summoner spell according to stats, they likely scale better with its survivability than other picks do.

yo just wanted to let you know you made me onetrick aphelios <3 i keep coming back to this guide to always find it being up-to-date, and i always learn something more cuz of this guide.

couple of question: should berserker greaves be rushed 1st item? or can it be delayed until after ie+collector

i noticed u deleted the fleet footwork runepage. does it mean that its like way more niche pick? how often do u take PTA in comparison to fleet.

i'll prolly ask a couple x thanku again

Hey, glad you like the guide!

Berserker's can be rushed first item if you want the mobility for safety or for dodging skillshots, but damage-wise it's a lot better to build AD/crit.

I need to update the runes section for this season, but currently PTA and Fleet are about equally viable. PTA is stronger early, Fleet scales better. PTA is also really good for following up engage in lane, so that's when I typically use it. It's also good for fighting back against champions who want to engage on you like Lucian/Draven/Tristana/Corki, a single Fleet heal won't do as much as the explosive PTA damage in a fight. And sometimes being able to fight back more effectively is a better defense than an actual defensive rune.

I'm completely blown away by how utterly spectacular this guide is! The effort put into this is truly remarkable, and it fills me with immense joy to see people as enthusiastic about Aphelios as you are (instead of playing champs like miss fortune lol).

When I see people discussing or trying to teach Aphelios, I often anticipate encountering numerous misconceptions for 1.5 years lol. However, I took the initiative to thoroughly read through this entire piece, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that only a few minor details caught my attention.

Released this a bit early because of the guide contest deadline. The guide is a bit plain right now because the guide's length wasn't compatible with generous BBCode usage, the guide wouldn't load at all when you tried to view it so we had to take it all out. It will be added back in eventually, either sparingly when I'm sure the guide can handle some more BBCode after all the formatting still needed is done, or if whatever bug/issue resulting in the guide failing to load as a result of too much BBCode is fixed.

Aside from that there's work still to be done on formatting, and me removing/acting on all the notes I left to myself throughout the guide, which is only practical for me to do once all the formatting work is done. Even once that's done and the guide can be considered 'complete', there's still a bit more content I think would be helpful for me to add in the long run, but I think this is already more than enough to be considered a comprehensive guide for now.

Dude you've done a great job covering all the micro potentials for aphelios it really pisses me off when people tell me "he's easy when you know him" because i still find it hard to really utilize his potential

Also every time i think about a micro aphelios has that i think you didn't include was there so i think you really covered everything lmao

Thank you! Yeah I know from experience that it's easy to make the mistake of thinking he's not really that hard, there's a ton of depth to him that's not easily visible, so as soon as you learn the cycle you're like "oh that's it, I just needed to learn the cycle and now I am adept at Aphelios, that was easy actually".

There's still a few more stuff I want to add that I missed on the first draft, like how fast you can do baron with - and how hitting plants can screw you over with blast cones, but other than that I think I've covered at least 99% of what I know about , hopefully.
