Take Fleet Footwork here.
Wait until she uses Q to clear the wave and then you can go in for a trade, she will charm you but since she wasted her Q for the wave you might not take that much of a dmg.
Don't dive her if she has E up.
Never ult her unless she wasted her ult or she can't move. Her ult is a quick and (relatively) big distance dash so even the worst Ahri players are able to dodge your ult with their ult.
Akali
BAN
Akshan
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Mostly a skill matchup, if he took Electrocute play safer. After 3 daggers you can get your Q3 more often and he won't be able to use E because you can just cancel it by just dashing into it. Ping everytime he leaves the lane because Akshan is a good roamer like Katarina.
You can survive his ult by standing behind minions, towers.
Anivia
I believe I took Lethal Tempo into Anivia all the.. two times when I matched against her. But since she has an easy stun and nothing else you can try to snowball with Electrocute.
Very easy lane, she won't have any kill pressure on you, she's just a wave clearing champ and nothing else after level 6. Even weaker before level 6. You can use E, Q3 or R to go through her E.
Don't waste your ulti before taking her passive out. Respect her under enemy turret because she still has that long stun ability and the passive in her kit.
Annie
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Annie is a very weird matchup, she can be really strong if she knows how to poke you down. Point and click stun from her passive so the most important thing is to wait until she uses her empowered spell on the minion wave. If she has it up and tries to get close to you just give up cs and run away. Thankfully she has to use her abilities to match with your wave clear.
Watch out for TIBBERS! because it's not an Ivern Daisy, it will do tons of dmg but it's easy to bait out. TIBBERS! also has a really low cooldown so watch out for that.
Aurelion Sol
Take Lethal Tempo here.
One of the easiest matchups for Yone, because the worst thing you could do against Yone is standing still and this guy do that perfectly. The only way to lose in this matchup if he gets fed from teamfights because his ult can be strong in there.
Aurora
Take Fleet Footwork here.
This matchup is a hell for beginners. If you don't know how to play under your turret and sacrafice xp and cs you're gonna lose. DO NOT E+Q3 here because Aurora can dash backwards with her E and you're gonna eat her full combo with Electrocute. However, if you really wanna trade with her, wait until she uses her spells on the wave and then you ult her because her W isn't fast enough to dash away from it. Thankfully, if you don't feed her with kills you're gonna outscale her, she will be very squishy later on and you will just melt her hp down with 2-3 items.
Azir
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Another rare matchup. Look for trades when he put down his 2nd soldier because he can only dash towards those, so you force him to trade. A weird interaction with his ult that it won't cancel either your Q3 or ulti it will go through and have the same effects like normal. Respect him near enemy towers because he can ult you under them and you will just die there. Overall Azir is not a good champ in lower elos, I don't think it will cause any problem unless it's Faker himself.
Brand
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Fortunately Brand mid is pretty rare but it is very good against Yone since he's an early poke champ. Try to stay away from the minion wave, maybe sacrafice cs. Bait out his Q before trading or all ining or you're gonna get stunned and lose.
Once you have level 6 and enough damage you can ult him down and kill him.
Cassiopeia
Take Electrocute here.
This matchup is one of the easiest if not the easiest one for Yone. Cassio is very weak early game, even weaker than Yone.
So what you wanna do is to wait until level 3 and start hard trading with her, she won't be able to do anything. You can snowball this matchup and put her in 0/3 before reaching level 6. After Cassio got her ulti respect her under enemy tower and continue what you did.
Cho'Gath
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Cho is tank and Yone is very good in killing tanks. So the matchup is pretty easy, you wanna play around his Q. You can either wait it out, side-step it, or if it's placed perfectly you can use E to get out it's range and then start trading. The W silence is a bit frustrating but since you can AA really fast due to your items and LT he's just gonna lose distance because of it. If you didn't kill him until level 6 watch out for his ult powerspike because he can just knock up with Q, all in you with Hail of Blades and eat you.
Diana
Take the Grasp of the Undying here.
Diana is the only reason why I started to test a new rune page on Yone because this matchup is currently unplayable.
So some content creator's advice is to side-step her Qs and you will be fine. I mean.. yeah, but it depends on how the Diana will hit her Qs so what I suggest you instead is to play near to turret range and once you get hit by a Q run inmediately under it, otherwise you're gonna lose half of your hp. She will play aggresively, but she isn't Thanos, she can't survive a turret dive if you have most of your hp.
Only way to trade with her (if you want to, for some reason) is to bait out her W and what will left for her is only her Q and E which won'tbe enough to kill you but the Electrocute will make the trade even unfortunately.
Ekko
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Ekko isn't that good against Yone, however his ult is just completely broken and steals the show for Ekko and make the matchup even.
So how to play around his kit? I think he can dodge your Q3 with his dash, so watch out for that. If you're in E and he puts the area stun on you, you can just E back and don't get hit by it or you can use E to get out of it.
About his ult, it's really similar to Kayle's ult, you have to bait it out and save your ult after that. Try to keep him on low hp constantly so he can't go back that much in time and won't get that much of hp back after a heavy burst attack. Pay attention to his shadow and then you will know where will be the high magic area dmg when he ults.
Fizz
Take Lethal Tempo here with Bone Plating.
We all know why Fizz is so annoying and we all know already what I will say about this matchup.
So yes.. try to bait out his E before trading or all ining. You can also use your E to dodge the second part of his E (where he does the area damage thingy).
Bone Plating's gonna help you a lot here because the only way for Fizz to trade with you is an all in.
If his ult's on you don't go under his tower because you're gonna get airborned and get turret shots which won't be funny especially because his ult already does a lot of damage.
Galio
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Galio is tank and not that good into Yone. What makes this matchup a bit annoying is his disengage abilities.
His E is a bit like Akali's and Aurora's spells, so when you wanna E+Q3 into him he will just dash backwards, dash back, stun you and maybe hit you with his passive or with his Q and then run away. So instead you wanna Q3 into him, force him to use his E to disengage or if he wanna trade you can dodge his E with yours and continue the trading, maybe even all in him.
Another good thing that he doesn't have a big ulti powerspike so it won't have effects in your laning phase.
Gangplank
Take Lethal Tempo here.
GP is one of my favourite matchups just because how complex it is.
So how you wanna trade with him? He will setup his barrels on top of the wave but you will be able to stack your Qs and once you get Q3 you wanna E+Q3 into him, knock GP up and hit his barrel while he is cc-d, so then you won't get the dmg and the slow from it and most of GP's trade potential is gone.
However he's gonna poke you with Qs and have a bit more sustain than you due to his W's healing. He will get cheaky assists from his ultimate but don't get mad about it.
Heimerdinger
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Heimerdinger is another begginer's threat but you might have a little bit better time and more obvious time against him.
Since he will force you under your turret at level 1 already you won't even have the idea to trade with him and don't even do that.
Honestly, this matchup is crazy boring, if he has the turrets set up and you can't bait out his E you won't win a single fight against him but luckily you outscale him SO SO hard.
Hwei
Take Fleet Footwork here.
I think Hwei is a fun matchup for Yone but his burns and ability spam can be annoying.
What you wanna do against him is to E out from his Q after he tries to pull you back there. You can also wait until he uses his fear but once he used his main abilities you can just tank it out, you will deal more dmg anyways.
If he tries to push the wave with Q you can just Q into the minion wave to get cs and you don't have to walk into it.
Watch out for him in teamfights and you will be okay.
Kassadin
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Would be the easiest Yone matchup if he wouldn't be a hyper scaling teamfight champion.
Trade with him as much as possible until level 6. Don't let him farm, you can even poke him under his tower with Q or W since he's a melee champ.
Once he hits level 6 you have to bait out his ult before ulting him.
Everytime I played against Kass he only got me killed in teamfights, so pay attention in there, he will want a revenge for the laning phase.
But don't be scared, you will beat the sh*t out of him early.
Katarina
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Katarina as a matchup is a nightmare for everyone. I wouldn't say she's as hard as others, but you can feed her very easily if you underestimate her.
So everytime she wanna do the Q+W+E+E combo you can E to the side and don't get hit by any of her daggers. It's a very similar E dodge to the Irelia E dodge. Once you dodged her combo you can trade with her or she might disengage.
Another advice that I always forget to do is to ult her instantly when she ults because your cc will cancel her R. She has to stand still if she wanna cast her ult, so she either has E away or use Flash.
ALWAYS ping when she's missing from the lane otherwise she will be fed from your bot lane, get back with 6-8 Dark Seal stacks, you will underestimate her and she will get you in 0/8. Respect her after her bad early.
Kayle
Take Lethal Tempo here.
I think this is the easiest Yone matchup. I know Kayle is a hyper scaling champ but you're gonna put her in 0/8 until her level 11.
She has a little bit of mobility advantage since she can slow you and give move speed to herself but you can ignore it by just Q3 into her.
You can easily bait out her ult (even under tower) and save yours after that.
We could talk about how strong she grows by the time but you will be just fed anyways, SUPER fed. Try to end the game before the late games and your team will be fine.
Kennen
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This little dude is pretty rare but so annoying with his mobility and AA range.
I don't have that much of experience against Kennen since I dodge or swap with someone everytime I see him.
Your trade window opens when he uses his E but he will be able to stun you with his passive most likely. So the hard part of this matchup is that you have so little trade opportunities unlike him who can just AA the sh*t out of you.
Try to survive on lane and swap as soon as you can to scale out him.
LeBlanc
Take Lethal Tempo here.
LeBlanc is hard since her whole kit could counter yours if she doesn't waste it for no reason. I believe she has a high ban rate in higher elos as well because she counters so many mid laners.
Her passive is really annoying, it forced me many ults and Flashes from me, but it's my fault.
So how you wanna trade with her is to force her W out and then you can look for E+Q3 trade, she will pop Electrocute on you and if you don't disengage fast she will chain and root you for more dmg. So you have a really short time to trade against a busted, high dmg rune page. It just carries her like others mages.
Lissandra
Take Electrocute here.
Another easy matchup for Yone.
Lissandra has basically no kill pressure on you unless she pokes you down to 200 hp.
You can trade with this rune page very easily, she will be at half hp with 1 combos from you, so don't be scared.
She can disengage with her E but you can see where she will land when she recast it so it's also not that big of a deal.
Since you will have a lot of dmg with a busted rune page and she's a squishy mage you can easily bait out her ult, just don't go under tower after her.
Lux
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This champ is so bad but if she lands Q you're cooked.
Very boring matchup because once she gets Luden's she will farm the wave under tower, get the next wave with her 0 cooldown ult and recall.
You can't dive her because you're gonna get rooted, get 2-3 turret shots and an E+R from her.
How you wanna trade? You wanna force her Q out, dodge it with your E and Q3 into her. You can easily kill her. Ult without using your E since she has no mobility and then follow her with E and Q3.
The good thing about this lane and it carries the whole matchup is the fact that you're playing Yone and you will SUPER outscale this bad champion, unless she gets fed from you or somewhere else.
I also recommend buying Cull (from earned gold, not as a starting item) here since you both play for cs and it gives you a little bit of sustain.
Malphite
Take Lethal Tempo here.
The Rock guy is pretty bad into Yone until he reaches level 6.
You can just follow him with Q3 even if you're slowed unlike other melee champs. Once you've done it he has nothing left but to trade with you and you will win against most of his runes with Lethal Tempo.
After level 6 he will ult and run you down. If he doesn't kill you, you will be in a pretty bad position due to your hp. It's hard to play around him because even if you kill him it will be a close call.
Malphite is just op in his current state but overall this lane is definitely playable for Yone.
Malzahar
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This lane is the most boring one, for sure. This mf can farm the wave under tower from the 2nd minute of the match.
Trading against Malzahar.. this is really annoying. So he has that passive spell shield.. listen, if you can't disable it with your W just accept that your Q3 won't do anything and just follow him to deal dmg. You can also engage with ult since he has no mobility.
Two things that you wanna pay attention for. One is that he has a really good poke potential on you. Stay away from the minions that has the Malzahar E, farm down his W minions and try to side-step his Qs. He will have no kill pressure on you without his ultimate but his poke is really annoying and can deal a lot of dmg. Second thing, never ult this guy under his turret unless you're 100% sure he doesn't have ult.
During the game, you will outscale him and you can always target him during teamfights since his only job there is to get someone out with his ult from your team.
Mel
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This lane is very similar to the Lux matchup, but Mel scales way better and his root and area dmg are way more efficient.
It's really hard to engage on Mel because he has the W ability which can be used to block your cc effects. She can also bounce your Q3 back on you and then you eat all her abilities. So you either wanna bait it out or play with 2 Qs and don't use Q3 once it's ready.
A really efficient engage tactic against Mel is to open with ult, prepare for a quick E to dodge her E and then you can run her down.
Mel is a great scaling champ and really efficient in teamfights but you can farm her down and focus her in teamfights.
Morgana
Take Fleet Footwork here.
Weird matchup because she just got buffs that allows Morgana to be played on mid and even jungle.
This matchup is all about her rooting you, not allowing you to go near to her. So you both just farm.. another scaling boring rooting mage I guess.
So Morgana has basically no kill pressure but she will walk towards objectives and get cheaky kills and assists. So you must follow her once you pushed in your wave and you can use the space advantage to dodge more efficiently her spells and run her down since she has no turret to defend her.
Naafiri
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This matchup can be scary because Yone is a squishy champ in early game and she will build either Eclipse or lethality.
So first of all I suggest you to buy an early Cloth Armor instead of a plus one dagger and you will have better sustain against her.
After that wait until you buy your first major dmg item and then you can start fight with her.
Bait out her W before ulting because she's untargetable for a long amount of time with it.
You should also wait until she uses one of her dmg abilities (Q or E) before trading or all ining.
Neeko
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This matchup is like a weaker Mel or Lux. You have to watch out for the same things but Neeko doesn't have good wave clear.
Her Q is a gamble, it's either take half of your health bar off or do little dmg.
Her ult is strong in teamfights and never dive her under turret if she has it because her root is pretty easy to hit and she will also ult you and won't let you away.
Ping if she isn't on lane because Neeko mids usually show up on bot as minions and get a quick kills and assists.
But overall you heavily outscale, she's just not a good champion, not even when she's fed.
Orianna
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Orianna is strong after her first back, or once she gets her mana and ability haste item.
This is a poke matchup the difference is that you actually have to play around "2 players" basically, mostly know as her Ball.
If she gets in an early lead you will be cooked because she can just send her Ball under your turret.
So you wanna start a trade once she commands the Ball onto you, you wanna instantly E away from the Ball and start running her down, she doesn't have any mobility, only a shield.
Her ultimate is just like Diana's ult but it's less broken and summons around the Ball.
Pantheon
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Welcome to hell. As a Mastery 15 Pantheon I just love punish Yone players for taking my champ. If this guy would be as common as Akali on mid lane, I would ban him instead of her to be honest.
The problem with Panth is that if you play safe you're gonna get punished, if you play aggresively you're gonna get punished.
It will feel like you can't trade against him but in theory you can all in him with a simple tactic.
So what you want to do is wait for your Bone Plating, wait until he Ws you and then ult him. Now he either has to block your ult's dmg or the incoming dmg from you getting behind him. Only do this when you have enough items to do damage.
He can also roam with his ult and get cheaky finishes at objectives.
If he builds Eclipse or lethality buy an early Cloth Armor.
Pyke
Take Lethal Tempo here.
I don't really know why I put him in.. I just saw a lot of off-meta Pyke mid laners and it's actually a fun matchup to play.
Hide behind minions to not get pulled by his Q, if you did get hooked prepare for and instant E to dodge his E. Dodging his E is very similar to Irelia's E dodge.
Until level 6 he has no kill pressure on you since he has only one spell that deals actual dmg. Once he get his ult he won't target you, he will just roam around the map, finish your teammates and get their farms to match with your xp. So ping everytime he goes away from the lane.
You can buy Cloth Armor if you get behind for some reason since Pyke always builds lethality.
Qiyana
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Another AD assassin. So Qiyana is really hard for begginers because once she gets the kill lead she will just run you down constantly, force you under turret and then roam around to get kills from others.. and you're gonna get blamed.
But unlike other extreme matchups there is actually a way to trade with her. So once she used her E dash and she doesn't have the water element (what stuns) you can E+Q3 on her and basically win the trade. She might go invisible but you can reveal her with W, so try to save it for that. Never play near to walls because she's gonna ult you and basically you will be dead already.
Early Cloth Armor is good as well and ping if she leaves the lane.
Ryze
Take LEthal Tempo here.
So Ryze has a similar trading pattern as Lux, Mel and Neeko but his kit is basically made for that. He's gonna root you do a big dmg and then disengage with Phase Rush.
If he used his Phase Rush it has a very kind cooldown and you wanna play around that time. You can ult him down and follow him with E after he used the root on you.
Unfortunately, he will build hp items so you might struggle running him down but if you get your cs you will out scale him by the time. Also stay away from the minions to don't get the big dmg.
Swain
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Take Ignite in this matchup because his ultimate's only weakness is antiheal basically (and we don't wanna spend 800 gold for a useless item).
Swain has a busted E hitbox, so you're gonna lose a lot of sanity during the laning phase.
So the basic concept of trading with Swain is trying to dodge his E with your E and then he will have no mobility and you can all in him and take the free kill.
Sylas
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Take Bone Plating here.
This is probably my favourite matchup because if the Sylas plays good and you do as well the all ins will be so skill based and satisfying.
So if the Sylas presses E and tries to stun you, E into the minion wave so a minion will block his stun and then you can trade with him.
Using ulties are really funny because both of you can dodge Yone's ult with your E, so keep this in your mind.
Syndra
Take Fleet Footwork here.
The Syndra matchup is about dodge and side-stepping her abilities with every champion.
But unlike any other mage champs Yone is a close range champion and he has to walk up to the minion wave to farm. So you either have to dodge Syndra's spells or farm. Dodging her spells take priority so get as much farm as you can while not losing too many hp.
You wanna trade when she used her E ability which is the knock back thingy with the stun, you NEVER want to waste your E before she does it. During that small trade window you wanna deal as much dmg as possible and keep in mind she is a mage, she doesn't have too many sustain so after first item you can actually kill her with a combo.
Taliyah
Take Electrocute here.
Taliyah is kinda minor threat, but she can combo you back to back to back and you will lose a lot of hp then.
But since you're taking Electrocute here you will deal a lot of damage to her so in the worst cases you will trade even.
I recommend taking boots here as quick as possible since most of her abilites are dodgeable and she just spams them.
She also has a good roam potential with her ult so ping when she leaves lane.
Talon
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This matchup is a nightmare in the earlies if he takes Electrocute. Pay attention to his level 2 powerspike because if you stay too close to him when he levels up he will combo you and you will lose half of your hp.
This matchup is also really hard because he also has one of the best roaming potential, so if you play too safe he will go bot, get 2 kills and comeback with and item and will do tons of damage. So ping everytime he leaves.
An early cloth armor can be useful as well, instead of buying 3 daggers at first back buy 2 daggers and one armor piece.
Once you get your Yun Tal with 25% crit you will out damage him if you're even.
Twisted Fate
Take Lethal Tempo here.
TF is only even because of his gold earning potential. He will always have more item than you, like WAY more item, if you're even.
He has also good roam potential after level 6.
Usually TFs plays for scaling but Yone is one of the few champs who scales better than him.
Really basic trade pattern is to wait out his W (when he changes card type), if he picks gold card wait until he uses it (because it's a point and click stun) and then E into him and with enough attack speed you will win the trade.
Veigar
Take Electrocute here.
Veigar is another from the few champs that has worse early game than Yone's. I wouldn't say this matchup is tiny because this little guy sometimes just get a million stacks out of nowhere and he one shots you in 0/3 like it's normal.
But until that you wanna punish him, get Q3, E into him get 2 hits with AA or abilites to get Electrocute.
If he cages you, don't be scared because if you E back you will go through the cage and then you will get the stun.
Don't get hit by his Qs because he gains stack from hitting champ as well.
Vel'Koz
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This champ became very popular in the last few patches for some reason, fortunately not on mid lane, more likely in support.
Once he get Lost Chapter this lane will be very annoying because he will just spam abilities.
I suggest PD here first item plus a tier 1 boots. PD is also good because it gives you MS and you become ghosted due to it's passive so you can move into the minion wave to block his Qs.
Wait until he uses his E knock up and then you can all in, very easy target since he has no mobility.
Vex
Take Lethal Tempo here.
This champ is just brainless. She has perma CC due to her passive.
The basic trade pattern sounds really straight forward and easy in this matchup, you wait until she doesn't have her passive fear, dodge her E with your E and engage. BUT... this mf gains back her passive by just existing. So she will W during your engage, suddenly she gains passive, casts her Q and get your half hp.
Her kit just counters yours, you can't really do anything during laning phase, try to play for farm and you will outscale her.
Also pay attention to her tiny roam potential, she can dive with ult very easily so she might use it on you or on your low hp bot lane. Ping everytime she leaves for this case.
Viktor
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Viktor is also an early lane bully especially when he upgrades his E. However he is kinda balanced because he has long enough cooldown to have the opportunity to trade with him.
So he has no mobility and his ult is just better for teamfights, so you can all in him after level 6.
Save your E to get out from his W area or if you're already in your spirit form you can E back when he puts it on top of your head.
Vladimir
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Vlad is hard lane for everyone in my opinion because he doesn't use mana and has infinite sustain basically.
I would build BORK in this matchup all day because the item gives you sustain for lane and it's passive deals percentage damage which good against Vlad because they usually build hp AP items.
So the number one rule is never go near to him when he has his empowered Q. He gets it after using 2 Qs, when the line is white under his health bar it's 1 Q, when it's 2 Qs it will turn yellow and when the line loads in it will turn red but it will run out very quickly so he has to cast if he wants to use the empowered version. So everytime you go for a trade do it when he has no Q stack, he will W and he will be untargetable but it's okay, you wait it out and do massive damage to him and if you see his empowered Q's getting ready and disengage.
DO NOT trade with him until you have enough sustain, otherwise it won't worth for you, he will get his hp back after 2-3 waves.
Xerath
Take Lethal Tempo here.
I don't really see Xerath mid anymore that many times.
He is really good tho in farming waves, but just like other lanes like this (Morgana, Lux, Mel) he doesn't have the kit to survive your all ins.
Pay attention to his E, try to bait it out otherwise he can stun you and get away.
He might look for cheaky kills with his ult when someone gets low on the map. You can't really do anything with this, if he's under tower and you have Q3+E ready you can go under tower for a quick knock up to cancel his ult and then go back in these situations.
If he gets kills from this, it won't really matter because your kit is better, you scale better, etc.
Yasuo
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Oh my days.. this matchup..
So the little brother is a very frustrating matchup because you won't really have like an item powerspike because your whole kit is matching, your runes, builds are matching so you can't really play for that.
One thing that I've noticed that this matchup after one death will try to convince you that you can kill him next time but it's always a lie. Whoever dies first, Yone or Yasuo it will be a farming simulator for the rest of the laning phase and it's really hard to accept.
So really basic tips, use your W to get his passive shield on cd. Don't Q3 into him because he will use the windwall to block it. Use E to dodge his knock up, you can also use it for dodge when he E+Q3 into you. Advanced technique if you see him E-ing onto you, Q or W behind yourself because he will get there.
So if get behind in lane, your chances to come back will be in teamfights where Yone's much better than Yasuo.
Zed
Take Lethal Tempo here.
Zed considered as an extreme threat to Yone usually but I think in this elo Zed players are not that consistent to punish Yone with his low cd abilites (in the earlies).
I would buy 2 daggers, 1 cloth armor instead of triple daggers at the first back because he will buy a lot of long swords for extra damage.
I think Zed is not a big threat until level 6, only if he can poke you down to like an Electrocute kill range.
Whenever he has W or R don't ult on him because he will just dodge it with those abilities and kill you. How you use your R instead is when he uses ult be ready to instantly ult him because he will consume all your damage from your ult and loses time to damage you with any abilities and his ult won't do that much damage.
If you wanna trade with him wait until he uses W and then you can E to him. If he uses ult when you're in spirit form wait until he appears and then E back.
I found Zed very weak in teamfights, I mean he can get one person out but it won't be as effective as like a double Yone ult.
Zoe
Take Electrocute here.
Zoe would be a harder matchup if we wouldn't take Electrocute here, because she will just wait until you move out from the minion wave and E you instantly.
So for trading, get your Q3 and engage with Q3+E behind your minion wave, so they will block her Q damage when you go back and your goal is to Electrocute. If you do all these things you won't suffer that much in lane.
Save your ult until she uses her, keep in mind it has a low cooldown but enough to create an all in situation.
Advanced tip, but you can actually cancel her CC if you get hit by it in spirit form. You just have to wait a little bit and press E before you fall asleep because Yone will get the unstopable effect and it will cancel the asleep effect.
Taric
Shout out to my lovely support Lucy.
We do the Yone Taric bot lane and since Yone is a meele champ he can use Taric's E as effectively as Taric himself.
His ult also really op for dives which is already relatively easier as Yone since he can E back anytime. But keep in mind, you're unkillable during Taric's ult but the turret damage will stack anyways.
Overall, it's pretty fun in our elo, it might not work in the higher ones but that's why this is the 'low elo players' guide'.

Overall, it's pretty fun in our elo, it might not work in the higher ones but that's why this is the 'low elo players' guide'.
Hi, my name is Taszi and this is my first guide about a champion that I love to play, Yone.
I started the game in 2025 February so I'm kind of a new player, but I acutally put like 2000 hours into the game because it's so addictive and I didn't play anything else since I started League.
It's December when I actually start to finish this guide and I currently have 1.3 million points on Yone, level 120 and #75 Yone EUNE.
And as the title says, it's a low elo guide, I'm in silver.
About the guide
The reason why I decided to make a guide on Mobafire is because I only saw Tempest's guide here which is really outdated compared to the opinions what he has right now, probably because he started to ask money for his advices. So if you find similar things and opinions, he inspired me, it's not a secret.
However I have different thoughts about a few things, we play in different region, different elo and a lot of things work very differently because of these.
So overall the guide is based on the mix of my lower elo EUNE server experiences and his experiences.
Why play Yone?
Yone is currently one of the best scaling champions in the game since almost every item is a powerspike for him. If you wanna learn how to play the game slowly, how to have 200+ cs in almost every game just play Yone and you will get used to it. He is also really fun mechanically there are a lot of things to learn about his kit depending on the matchups and if you play them right it will be so satisfying.
Yone's state / Is Yone hard to play?
A lot of people complain about Yone's kit and think he's strong but in reality these players just can't punish Yone's weak early game correctly or simply just picked a champion who's even weaker.
Players' problem about Yone is that they can't punish him enough before the one item powerspike and after that he just becomes unstoppable, kill you 2-3 times and then solo dive you under tower at max hp.
If you read other mid lane champion's guide almost every creator says that Yone WILL outscale you and there isn't much that you can do about it.
So overall I think after the changes and buffs he's playable, maybe even strong but definitely not op and no-brainer.
Low or high elo guide? What's the difference?
A lot of guide writers forget that most of the players who read their guides are in lower elos, like me as well. And based on my experiences there are runes and builds that work very well in the lower elos but in the higher elos would have been troll.
Let me explain with a straight example: the Electrocute rune page. Yone is based on scaling and this rune is very bad in terms of scaling. However, in the matchups where I recommend it, it's very good because low elo players don't respect it at all and they just let you snowball them and feed you. In higher elos players probably just kite you out, wouldn't trade with you and since you have no scaling in runes at all you're gonna get punished for that mid/late game.
