Introduction

Hey, I go by the name of Uzumaaki (You can guess why!) I've been playing this game for around.. 5 months maybe now. Playing alot of different champions and testing different peoples builds out, and trying my own. I'd just like to make a guide to see if you guys like it, i'll make more on different champions, if not, I'll stop on this one haha.. Well.. Hope you guys enjoy the guide and find it useful, thanks.

Runes

Going with Marks first, i've always used Greater Mark of Insight, they give 0.95 Magic Penetration. Stacked up with 9 of these will give you a total of + 8.55 MP. May not seem like alot, but early game will help you out quite alot, especially with your E (Siphon of Destruction). When it comes to Glyphs i'd use The Greater Glyphs of Potency, these give you 1.2 Ability Power each. Which as I said with the Mark of Insight, it may not seem like alot, but it will definitely show early game. With Seals I tend to use Greater Seal of Resilience. These give 1.44 Armor, which comes in handy especially if you're against an AD character, such as if you're top lane. With Quintessences, I use Greater Quintessence of Potency. These give 4.95 Ability power, so with 3 you get quite alot. Really boosts your AP. Especially combined with the Glyphs. As you can tell you're trying to build AP heavy in this build, Giving you the effeciency to withstand attacks and dish out a tasty amount of damage to almost every champion.

Masteries

Ok, Masteries, i've tried out various builds from other guides, and tried out a few myself and found this is a pretty good set up. Its really beneficial early game, and is just as good late game.. If you want to change things around, you can always try out your own variations, it's always good to try different things.

Items

Items, well basically, just start off with most top lanes do; Boots of Speed and 3x Health Potions.. Then, depending on their champions, and their jungler, I always try to get Sorceror Shoes straight away to get the extra Magic Penetration. Then WoTA, thus giving you extra AP, and in early team fights, giving the rest of your team a boost in AP. Rylai's is for sure the 3rd Main item you want to get. This gives you a major boost in HP, and hopefully negates some of the health you sacrifice to use your abilities. It also grants you a quite a lot more Ability Power to harrass and quickly take care of the other champions.
As your 4th item, I tend to try to get Rabadons Deathcap, this give you a major boost in Ability power, granting you the chance to take down enemies VERY quickly, if used with your E a few times to harass, then lure him in, use E again, then your Ultimate, and Ignite.
Abyssal Sceptre, this item depends what the opposite team are like and building. If they're AP heavy then it's a great item, as it gives you AP and Magic Resist.. So it negates some of their damage, and grants you more AP and also takes of 20% of their Magic Resist. If they are mainly an AD composed team, I wouldn't suggest getting an Abyssal Sceptre.
Warmogs.. Okay, well this is entirely up to the player, and depends on team composition. I only really get it if im buildling tanky to initiate in team fights, to have the extra HP. But yeah entirely up to you.
Guardian Angel, another item that's completely up to you. It's a late game item, so don't build it early. If you want a second chance life for team fights etc, it's a good item to get. Any other AP items with possible Magic Penetration, or high health and AP is a perfect item.

Skill Sequence

Well, the skills I have chosen in the order are what i've found is the best route to do. E for early Harassing and great way to get that high CS. Q is great for getting that creep farming up early aswel with it's ability to spread out to other creeps. W is another good'en, as if you want to stand back for a minute, you can use it on one of your melee creeps and it will give DoT to all surrounding enemy creeps, a good skill. Obviously grab your Ultimate whenever you can (6,11,16). Obviously try to max out your E first,as it's your main Damage spell and farming, and slowly build the others up aswell.

Summoner Spells

Ok, summoner spells. Flash is a must of course, as Mordekaiser's run speed isn't very high at all.. Ghost is a possibility, but flash in my opinion is the best Summoner Spell in the game.

Ignite is also a must with Morde, as it goes perfect with his Ultimate, Both of those used on a champion with.. 1/4-1/3 health will be dead very shortly. Especially if you can chase and use E on the opponent aswell.

Summary

All in all, I find Mordekaiser a very fun and enjoyable Champion to play, He can either.. Solo top or Solo mid. I've never tried him Jungle, but I don't think he would be a very good jungler haha. But that's my thought. He's very capable and very good in team fights with his AoE and his DoT's. If you build him tanky and get fed with him, he's a very hard champion to kill, and can sustain not as good as others, but built right and he will annihilate anyone.

Ranked Play

I'll be honest, I haven't played him in Ranked yet as I don't really play ranked, only 5 games to my ranked stats so far.

Pros / Cons

Pro's
-Great at farming.
-Good early game.
-Good in team fights.
-Late game can dish some juicy damage.

Con's
-Can be squishy.
-Need to watch HP as skills take a % of HP.
-If behind early, hard to recover.
-Quite a slow character.

Unique Skills

Ultimate: Children of the Grave.

-One of my favorite Ultimates, Combined with Ignite, a devastating combo. Should only realy be used as a finishing move. That way, you get the effect; The champion you kill, you get his "Soul", which will follow you and attack whatever you tell it to, great for tower diving low champs or even towers itself.
All in all a very good Ultimate.

Farming

As I said earlier in the guide. Mordekaisers E Ability, Siphon of Destruction is an amazing farming ability, especially with it's relatively short cooldown. A good range with it's cone shape attack, and does quite moderate damage. Spammed often will harass and annoy the hell out of other champions and annihilate the creeps.
