Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
FOR TWISTED TREELINE
Mordekaiser as most people know it is a great tank. But with his variety of spells in his arsenal, he is very powerful.
Because of the new release of the 3v3 map Twisted Treeline in matchmaking, I only play Mordekaiser in this map considering the advantages of having him on the team.
Less people to tank means more time in the fight. More time in the fight means more time to kill.
Now about the guide...
-Initiator (In Twisted Treeline)
-Kills jungle easy
-2 ranges against is very annoying
-Ironman armor must always be up
Skill build explanation:
-Siphon of Destruction is leveled first due to it's shorter cooldown at level 1 and bring your armor up by more than the mace.
-But Twisted Treeline is a small map which means you will be ganking quite often, so you will be maxing out the Mace of Spades first for the damage it does. If you hit a squishy that is alone early, you will do about 1/4 of his HP. It will also help you kill the jungle faster.
-Creeping Death is not a must, but you can level it up at level 4 or 5 if you really want it. It's there to help kill creeps and keep your armor up, it does decent damage on champions.
-Children of the Grave is Mord's "Look your killing your own teammates" clone or ghost, however you want it. This will help you out in team fight's By basically giving you an extra Champion. If you are running cast it on the tank, for the fact you gain more HP/s to keep you alive. If you are engaging a fight, cast it on the carry and have you team focus the carry, this will add a lot of DPS to the fight. After the fight, make your ghost rush the nearest tower to tank it and backdoor.
Item build explanation: Mordekaiser is kited very easily since he is melee and has no method of slowing unless he has a clone, which has only a certain chance of slowing.
-Doran's Shield: Great item for start. Tag an HP potion along with it.
-Rylai's Crystal Scepter: Slow effect item on spells that you get to spam. Help's you prevent kiting and give you good AP and HP amount.
-Mercury Treads/Ninja Tabi: Situational on boot selection, Merc if against more CC then DPS, but Tabi has synergy with the masteries Nimbleness.
-Frozen Mallet: Another slow effect item, gives a ton of HP and a little bit of damage to help kill.
After these items, I did not include any other items since the map I recommended at the top is Twisted Treeline, and games don't usually go past those items. If you get into this late of the game here are some more examples:
Against Heavy Nukers (Ryze, Veigar, etc...)
-Force of Nature, Banshee's Veil, Guardian Angel.
Against Heavy DPS (Gangplank, Master Yi, etc...
-Thorn's Mail, Sunfire Cape, Warden's Mail
Offense: Some AP/level is good for harassing but what's most important is the cooldown reduction.
Defense: Simple explanation here, just for more survivability.
Utility: Extra % of EXP is always beneficial to have.
This concludes the build explanations and moves us onto gameplay.
If your team has a lot of damage at level 1, try to rush first blood.
Other then that play extremely defensive but try to farm as much as you can. Keep your Ironman armor up.
Now this is where you should have your Rylai's scepter nearly done, or done. You should start running around as a team and pushing the lanes to give you more room. Don not let your towers get pushed. Use your rally to help defend towers but place it behind so they dont kill it.
It really doesn't happen often that in Twisted Treeline you hit late game. But now you want to either turtle until an ace if your losing or just end it if you have better damage in fights.
I hope you enjoy trying out this guide, I will try uploading some images to the guide soon.
This build work's on Summoner's Rift (5v5 map) but I personally see no use to Mordekaiser in that map, unless you decide to stack Warmog's Living Armor because the only use in that map is being a Meat Shield. If you do play this build on Summoner's Rift, max out Syphon of Destruction give you a much better laning phase.
