A Trinity Force, Hextech Gunblade, Infinity Edge and Rabadon's Deathcap are prohibitively expensive for a character who has such difficulty farming. It seems you just took every high-itemization item, ignored the cost, and slapped it on a piece of paper. How will Infinity Edge work consistently without more than the 15% crit on Trinity Force? Why would you get Rabadon's if your only other AP items are Hextech Gunblade and Trinity Force?

I know what you mean, but playing too much "guns blazing" as you say is not a problem!, it's just a playstyle, that just doesn't quite fit with this setup. You'll find that this build will provide you every tool to excel at your job as a squishy-hit and run carry, but first you have to get more familiar with that kind of playstyle, so much different to the one you're used to. I apologize if I'm too persistent with this, but if you see this build as something else, then you probably won't understand why I came up with these ideas.
About Manamune, I really don't see a problem on building it. It's a very good item that gives you nice stats that Poppy can find very useful! but I'm leaving it out of the core because it doesn't synergyzes with your skills, summoner spells and runes as much as Trinity Force, Yoummu's and Lucidity boots. You'll have very nice damage, a large mana pool, and mana reg, but you really don't desperatly need that much mana and mana reg, instead, you'll find that, mov speed, armorpen, crit strike, cd reduction and all those stats we get from the items mentioned before are more suitable to do your carry job, and the mana boost from trinity force is just enough for you to spam your abilities a while and still have some left to get out of any hairy situation with W. (Keep in mind that if you go nuts casting then no mana pool will be large enough)
Again, I don't dissaprove of Manamune, great item!!!, but not as necessary as the other ones for the purpose of this build.
Sorry if I over-extended a bit but I feel that it's important to give solid arguments of why did I came up with all this stuff.
Thanks for all your feedback! keep it coming! I love to discuss this kind of stuff.

I think we agree that there is more than 1 way to play her, and i am totaly going to test out this setup against some ideas i have myself.

My problem is prolly that i am playing too much "guns blazing" and need to be more carfull with her. As you may have experienced having a good tank can make or break your game, so i prefer going as tank because then i know our team will at least have the tanking part aced.

Thanks for the response and the good arguments, rep given.

On a closing note: Any thoughts about Manamune?

I agree with you on bulkyness, but what I recommend with this is don't go in unless you can get kills, that means don't initiate, wait 'till your tank initiates and everyone is spending their cd's, then rush in, charge their carries with E, THEN activate your ulti, and start whacking. The idea behind it is don't go into huge team fights unless you have your ulti, that's your winning card! If you have it on CD, then try to go for the champs that have spread or the ranged ones, get the kill, and start running with your W, Yoummu's active and Ghost.

Then again, I totally agree with you on the beefy stuff, but this focuses on playing Poppy like a squishy hard carry (hit and run). If you want more survability, change the build or just play a different char like Olaf (that's what I do).

I will be investigating on how to make Poppy more beefy through the core though, thanks for your advice and vote! much appreciated!

In general i agree with you, but as a melee "carry" you are survival dependant. and much like Trynda Poppy can target and insignifficant enemy like the enemy tank while she bursts away at the other team, but once diplomacy ends, you will be focused once they see the golden shield dissapear and you are far behind enemy lines.

This is really my play style so i have experienced a lot of different things with it. I love charging a team so Alistair was one of my previous mains. He is strong as a bull (pun not intended) with his ult, and got some amazing CC with his W-Q combo.

The thing i find about poppy is that she is more of a counter carry. She can drop in and score a quick kill while beeing untouchable, but i also find that once said kill is delivered, she should back down and wait for her team to size opprotunity to roll in again ;)

Just some thoughts man, i approve of this build on her, but be warned: all melee needs some bulkyness, and i can see you got that cowered. all i suggest is to implement it to your core.
