Hey, you should think of revisiting this guide with the new season changes. The way I run it right now is take smite/flash. This lets you in on the jungler item trees. The first item you want to buy is the warrior enchanted trackers knife. This gives you 60 ad (not to mention cdr) and lets you ward well enough to get by. Having 60 ad on your first item as well as not having to worry about wards is really great for him. If the jungler starts on the other side of the map, feel free to get the exp and lane advantage by taking the camp with smite. Gromp buff is great against enemies who poke alot. Krugg buff helps when pushing towers, later use the raptor and wolf buffs to get extra vision control. Start with longsword and go for the warhammer first for the damage. Get boots when you can/necessary and buy a pink ward if youre ahead and pushing to hold you over until the wards come in from the other half of the item. Now you have amazing leashes, insane dragon control, high lane damage, still are able to put wards for the vision and have an easy lane. It works best with high mobility/damage adcs like Tristana, Lucian, Draven, or quinn. Works worst with low early damage champs like ezreal and caitlyn or champs who cant get to the target you've jumped on like kog'maw or sivir. At level 6 the damage is just enough to decide whether you need the kill or if you want to graciously donate it to the adc. Like you mentioned, split pushing and target picking are some of the things he does best. I like building either tiamat or youmuus depending on if you need more damage or chase. after those, you can have any other options depending on what you need and how ahead you are going from qss into merc scim, hexdrinker into maw, dead mans plate, black cleaver, bloodthirster, infinity edge, essence reaver, trinity force, and of course finishing ravenous hydra. give it a go if you have the time.

Great guide coming from a talon main! I have tried talon support before this guide and can say that talon support is no joke. What I occasionally use for a situational item besides Triforce is use phantom dancer (since it got a crit buff), combined with ghost blade you get a 50% critical strike which is insane, plus a nice amount of atrack speed to output more damage. I only get this item if I don't really need anymore damage though. Just a suggestion for your situational item section.
