Whenever my team has a tank I go full out AD with build above. I will talk about spells, the current top rated guide (my opinion on it), skill sequence, items, runes, pros cons and more. Give it a try...

Please help me out by commenting, rating thumbs up and helping me out with suggestions.

NOW I GUARANTEE YOU THAT IF YOU ARE A GOOD NASUS PLAYER THAT YOU WILL HAVE SUCCESS WITH THIS BUILD AND IF YOU DONT LET ME KNOW AND WE WILL SEE WHAT WENT WRONG!

The Legend

The enigmatic creature known as Nasus came to the League from a faraway world, and served as part of a vast and learned desert empire. There he was a respected and enlightened individual, having been made the Keeper of the Great Library. However, he was also part of a race of animalistic creatures that served as the rulers and protectors of the people. Unfortunately, there were others of his kind that believed they were more than protectors. They were under the egotistical delusion that they had ascended to become gods. War on Nasus's world was never more than a breath away, as these deluded others sought to enslave the people and establish a totalitarian sovereignty. In the midst of a heated battle, just as Nasus was about to slay his treacherous brother Renekton, he was pulled through the cosmos to a summoning circle in Runeterra.

At first angered that he had been taken just as he was about to cripple the enemies of his people, Nasus' advanced intellect won out when he heard the pleas of mercy from the summoners. He learned that Runeterra was also filled with its own brand of injustice. This danger was no less threatening than what he had fought against at home, and champions were needed to protect the people of this world. Heeding the call, Nasus chose to take his place in the League of Legends, knowing that his brothers and sisters would carry on the fight back home. These days, he is the Curator of the Sands, feeling most at home in the crumbling ruins of the Shurima Desert. However, recent disturbing news has reached the Keeper's ears - rumors that perhaps his brother had not in fact been left behind. If this were the case, the destruction of Renekton would quickly become Nasus' main priority, before this world too faces the threads of his brother's forked-tongue and endless ambition.

The Curator of the Sands, though contemplative, is not to be trifled with.

**NOTE, I DONT MEAN TO INSULT ANYONE WHO WROTE THIS GUIDE**

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/nasus-giveem-the-stick-40759

^^ Here is the current top rated Nasus guide posted on mobafire, it is called giveem the stick. Now as you can see the starting items are the same for his guide and mine but from then on it changes. I have tried this build before and I personally do not like the item sequence. Yes people have rated it the top guide in mobafire, but that doesnt mean it is the best. SO, here is what I think. As a tank build I find this decent tank guide. You get good damage (eventually) good armor and health (sooner then needed) and has gives you mana early. These are all good things but in my opinion can re-arranged a bit. What I mean by this is that armor early on is good but you can still tank as Nasus and complete a Trinity Force as him before you get armor, get fed, and then tank like crazy and you will be the best tank your team will have ever seen. You will be able to protect your carries, while destroying theirs and their tank at the same time. I have taken down a fed Gangplank while tanking with two Q's. Eventhough Nasus is "mana hungry" you wont need to get any mana regen items like a philoserpher's stone or anything like that. It is not necessary if you watch your mana pool and use your mana wisely. I personally never have this problem. I find that, with this guide, you will not have a great amount of success compared to one like mine. I say this because, because of the lack of damage at the start. By using my guide for a tank nasus you will be able to do anything your team needs you to do with a great amount of success. There have been games where my team has fed three of there champions sooooooo much it was unbelievable. Yes, I still lost but, I came out of that game with a record of 17 3 17 as tank Nasus. I am not lying to you guys, that is total honesty. Most of my games I come out of with a good record unless I am really tired and off my game. So try this build out, compare it to others and rate it high please!

Pros / Cons

Pros:
- late game is all yours
- great burst damage
- can even take down tanks with a full build (using my tank or AD build)
- a great solo top
- very strong slow and Q
- ult can be used to take down champions in seconds or to save yourself
- by the end of a good build you wont have to use your ult to kill another champion
- great at farming
- can even take down tanks with a full build (using my tank or AD build)

Cons:
- gets picked on by range if not set up with a good lane partner
- mana hungry

Items

**NOTE THAT THE ITEMS GIVEN ARE EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED FOR MAXIMUM DAMAGE OUTPUT WITH YOUR Q. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE DOWN PEOPLE WITH TWO Q's EASILY!!**

**NOTE THAT THE TANK BUILD MAY BE ALTERED DEPENDING ON THE COMPOSITION OF THE OTHER TEAM. THE BUILD IS FOR A MORE OVERALL TEAM, IF THE TEAM HAS MORE AP IT MAY BE NEEDED TO CAHNGE THE BUILD TO RECIEVE MORE MAGIC RESISTANCE**

BUT, if you would like to change it, here are SOME options...
The items above are the normal items that I use. You may chose different items if you want but i personally prefer the ones above. If you would prefer a different starting item instead of a regrowth pendant is a Doran's sheild. The reason I chose a regrowth pendant is because I personnaly prefer to get right into my build and not waste money on useless items that will be sold later on in the game like Doran's Sheild.
If you are thinking of changing the build a bit I suggest that you always get Trinity force. Yes, I know it is the most expansive item in the game and it can sometimes take a long time to get. But, it allows you to deal a great amount of damage and improves your overall champions strength. Even when tanking as Nasus trinity force is an important item because as a tank you cannot just be able to absorb damage. You must be a threat towards the other team too or, you will be ignored the whole time. This item makes the difference between a good tank Nasus and a GREAT tank Nasus.
When you are using the AD Nasus build and you find that you are dying to quickly or that your tank isn't doing his job (which drives me crazy) you can simply just buy a FoN (force of nature) or a thornomail, depending on your oppenents. One of those items along with your GA (guardian angel) should be enough armor to make you survive a little more. I would suggest switching it with the Bloodthrister because your Q's passive and active would be enough lifesteal. Sometimes, if I find that I am dying too much and too often or need some balanced armor in both categories I will get my Guardian Angel after I complete my trinity force. By doing so I will be able to survive longer and deal greater damage.
If you are going to use the tank build you can vary some of the items depending on their team composition. If their is more ad or ap you can get a FoN (force of nature) and Banshees or if there is more ad Randium's Omen and Thornmail.

There are many other possible items you can use. Experiement with them, let me know how it goes, and tell me if you think I should change anything. I will give you credit in my guide if you can explain to me why I should change it.

Abilities

Soul Eater (passive):
Nasus' passive gives him increased life steal. This allows him to stay in a lane for a great amount of time. Along with the additional life steal a regrowth pendant works well because if you are not able to be hitting minions the health regen that comes with the item is good enough to keep you in the lane. That is why I dont start with a vamperic scepter because it doesnt let you regen any health unless you are attacking minions.

Siphoning Strike:
This is one of Nasus' most powerful and important abilities. For every kill, whether minion or champion, you get using this ability it will strengthen each time. The amount of AD your build has will increase the strength of this ability too. Open hitting Nasus regenerates health. That is why an AD build works very well with Nasus. This ability does crit and has on hit effects too. So the sheen in trinity force strengthens this ability too.

Wither:
The most powerful slow in the game (in my opinion). By level 18 you will be able to reduce your targets attack speed and movement by 95% That is an amazing amount. With the AD build it makes it around a 6 second cooldown. So imagine that being able to use it continuously on a target. By the time the first slow is done you will have the ability back again ready to use it on the same target. This ability has a great amount of range.

Spitfire:
Spitfire is Nasus's best farming ability. All you have to do is click and place it in the middle of a bunch of minions and it will deal a burst of damage right away then it will damage them over a period of time. A great way to farm. This is also a great way to kill enemies who are about to escape from you.

Skill Sequence

For Nasus I follow a very simple sequence. First I start the game off with my Q then level up my E twice and grab my W at level 4. From this point on all you must do is upgrade your Q when you can, if you can't upgrade your Q upgrade E and whenever you can grab your ult.

For the tank skill sequence it is the exact same as your dps/ad build.

I have tried many skill sequences with Nasus and I like this one the best. Maxing your Q first and then your E really makes you strong late game. The combination of the AD build and skill sequence is incredible. I have taken down tanks in no time at all and can kill champs with 2 Q's. Late game will be yours. you will be unstoppable and people will rage quit.

Runes

For Nasus a full out AD rune page works perfectly because it goes perfectly with your Q and you will be sooooo much stronger with it too. I do not have one myself but I have tried it before and you will be able to notice the difference between the two. I recommend and AD rune page for the tank build too. It just adds onto what I have said before and tell people continuously. AS A TANK YOU CANNOT JUST BE ABLE TO ABSORB DAMAGE, YOU MUST BE A THREAT TO THE OTHER TEAM TOO SO THAT THEY WILL WANT TO FOCUS YOU, OR SO THEY WILL BE SCARED OF YOU!!!!!!!

Summoner Spells

The summoner spells that I use that are most suitable for Nasus are Ghost and Teleport. Like seen in many guides for Nasus people tend to use flash. But the simple combo of your tankyness in the end and your slow and ghost you will be able to outrun even Warwick sometimes. (which may seem impossible sometimes) I use teleport because as Nasus you need to level up quickly and farm a lot. With teleport you will be able to leave your lane and be right back in it seconds later. Also with teleport you are able jump to a random lane where there are a lot of minions and you will be able to farm them all in a matter of seconds and then run mid gank and return to your lane. You will be the best on your team if you do this.

Other options that I have tried before can be Ignite, flash, surge.

I dont recommend using exhaust because you have an ability which is the best slow in the game (in my opinion) that by lvl 18 will have about a 5 second cooldown and is much stronger then exhaust. So why waste a spell on that?

Tips

As Nasus there are things that you must be able to do to have a good game and be able to do anything you want with him. Here are some tips

- Paying attention to last hitting with Siphoning Strike will have a large impact at the end of a game.
- If you're solo, Spirit Fire is a great way to farm a lane. It can be bad if you're in a lane with 2 and you push too far. Find the right balance between Siphoning Strike last hits and AE farming.
- If you have low defenses, people will focus you down even during your ultimate. Try buying some survivability items even in your DPS builds.
- Farming is the most important thing to do with Nasus. You must last hit with your Q to increase its strength and use your E to farm a wave of minions. By doing so you will be able to complete your build faster.
