Thank you very much! As I have said, in time I will try to make the guide more detailed and provide what you have asked for and I very much appreciate your constructive thoughts ^.^ I indeed do have valid reasons (at least to me) for my thoughts. But to quickly provide some insight to your example question about Last Whisper, my thoughts are this: In my own experience, I have never used Last Whisper much because I have felt that my goal as Tryndamere is to destroy the enemy carries and such. While killing the tank is nice, it is not my top priority. Once the carries and support heroes are destroyed, the enemy tank will not provide enough damage out put for me to worry about killing him quickly, and the armor pen combined with the armor reduction from black cleaver should suffice. Also, Last Whisper is more effective if the enemy stacks more armor than usual due to the armor pen based on percentage. With only flat damage output and armor pen percentage, I feel that there are better items for Tryndamere such as Starks Fervor. Starks Fervor can benefit the entire team as well as Tryndamere because of the aura based health regen, lifesteal, and armor reduction for the team and the attack speed boost for Tryndamere. I hope that helps explain how I think about Last Whisper :P Basically-Last whisper good for targeting tanks, but Tanks I do not feel is Tryndamere's priority.

A very summarized guide all in all. Where Tryndamere is not one of the more complicated heroes, I would've enjoyed, some more detail and theory behind the specific items and choices you have. For example, why not choose last whisper in favor of another item and make yourself penetrate even the armor of their tanks? I do however appreciate the fact that you are most profoundly aware of the importance of armor penetration, and the fact that sometimes it is worth while dying just to hack away for the full duration of undying rage.

All in all, an effective build and nice point of view. +1
