While i really like seeing someone else run that Mallet+gauntlet+muramana build in top lane (albeit with tiger and not phoenix), i will tell you that smite is just too mandatory on jungle. Even if, like you say, you won't need it early, you're still going to need it for baron/dragon contests later in the game. Also like Maintained said, a little more coding would work wonders.
