Introduction

Udyr is a great champion to lane with. Especially when you get a great start and get your Warmogs quickly. By the end of the game you should be unkillable from what i've saw. Udyr also puts out a lot of damage. His Tiger stance should be your main ability for doing a lot of damage. Your turtle stance should keep you laning for a while. Udyr isn't too hard to play i picked up udyr for the first time and i carried my team very easily.

Items

The items chosen are so you get early game survivability, and by the end of the game you will be putting out a ton of damage. You can always change the Banshees Veil based on the other teams configuration. Getting Warmogs ASAP will keep you in the lane longer because it will be a lot harder to kill you and whenever you lose health you can just go into turtle stance and get your health back.The Atma's Impaler will increase your damage survivability for all the health you have. The Trinity Force is useful for many reasons. It increases a lot of your stats, give you a chance to slow, and give you a buff whenever you use a skill. The Bloodthirster just helped you do more damage with your Tiger stance. I chose Mercury Threads just for another way to survive because of the tenacity preventing the duration of the slows and other effects. Just remember when following this build or any build for that matter don't be afraid to change it up a bit because not every build works for every build. You should adjust the build based on how well you started the game or how the other team is made up of.

Summoner Spells

Ones I Chose and Why:

- I Choose ignite because i helps me get the kill Let say if they are Turret Camping with low health.

- I use Flash because flash is a great way to escape death. Unless you suck and miss the flash over a wall.

Ones I Don't Chose and Why:

- Reason why i don't Choose Exhaust because i feel that it is not necessary because your bear stun should be enough to keep them from Running away.

- You don't Need Either of these because When you go into turtle stance it both gives you mana and health back.

Runes

The Runes i use in this guide are chosen to maximize DPS, and survivability. The marks are chosen for early game damage with tiger stance. It is very helpful in the level 1 gank in 3v3. The Armor seals also help with survivabilty early. And the Cooldown glyphes help with Udyrs passive with the stacking attack speed buff. The cooldown helps u always have it up if you always switch stances. Once again the armor penetration has a great impact on the damage your able to do with your tiger stance.

Masteries

The Masteries chosen are also chosen for a reason. They are chosen help udyr are a laner and a carry. Chosing extra damage , lifesteal, crit, and armor penetration to maximize damage. In Defense i chose to take more armor just for more survivabilty, and in utility reduce death time, so if i get killed early or even late game i can get back into the lane ASAP to i don't faill behind and i can get fatter quicker.

Skill Sequence

This Skill sequence is made to help you put out as much damage as possible, and for you to survive longer in lane by maxing out turtle 2nd. I found phoenix stance not very helpful for me to succeed. Tiger Stance is your most powerful skill and it gets better when you stack your passive because you get a lot more attack speed. I chose to max out bear 3rd because i don't really think its necessary because all it really is good for is the stun and run speed. Once you get the stun off you should go into tiger to put out alot of damage.

Team Work

Udyr is very helpful in Team fights. Especially stopping people from running away with his bear stun. Udyr is also a great ganker because of the movement speed increase from bear. So he can just run in and stun and start doing damage with his very low cooldowns. Udyr is also very capable to tank alot of damage. Depending on the DPS on the other team he can tank them all at the same time. He also takes down turrets pretty fast with his attack speed increases and his health.

Farming

Farming to Udyr is very important. Not many people think killing minions is important. But having a lot of minions kills helps you out level everyone and make the most money finishing your build faster. I try to get the last hit on as many minions as a possibly can to maximize my damage output on the enemy champions causing me to be more fed for him ending up in a surrender shortly after.
