it's importent that you go mid with malzahar to gain alone, free xp so u don't have to share it with someone else + at lvl 6, u will get an advantage against any champ you will be faceing.

playing mid with malzahar is very easy when you started to know him.
be shore that you lay most on malefic visions as first and call of the viod as second, null zone will come very handy at higher lvl or late game.
when you are ganna ulti your upponent, be shore to cast malafic visions first and be very close to your target when u ult, then u can cast ignite so you will do more dmg.

faceing double upponents on top lane or bot lane with a friend, be shore to get the most of the minion kills to as fast as possible can go b buy upp your build.

the best laning companion for a mage is a tank/offtank melee char, be shore to let him, inititate so he will get the aggro when you ganna go in to a fight.

on laning top or bot, it's very inportent to to ward down below in the bushes if the other team has a jungler, you will see him faster so you and your laning partner can stand in deff posision and be ready if they ganna gank you.

there is two things that makes the champ, the player and the ithems. i start with a dorians ring to get ap, mana reg and hp, following ithems are first boots, uppgraded to sorcere's shoes, ruby crystal and sapphire, combined to cataclyst the protecter, that complete's my first game ithem, rod of ages that gives hp, mana and ap, even per minute.my third ithem will be rylai's crystal scepter that also gives hp, but gives more ap and slowing targets everytime they get hit by your spells by 40% for 3 sec. the fourth ithem is viod staff that's giving ap and 40% magic penetration. the fifth ithem is will of the acients, giving ap and an aura that gives additional ap and 30% spell wamp. the last ithem will offcourse be rabadom's deathcap, giving a large amount of ap, deathcap aslo make's that all of your ithems that are giving ap, will give additional 30% of their ap as a bonus

masterie tree is a very fateful at early game. i use offensive masterie tree cuz it gives more ap and ap per lvl, it also gives cd reduction. my masteries are 24/offensive and 6/utillity.
on utillity, i spec on mana per lvl, less cd on recall and more movement.
