I recently picked up Urgot and I have to say he is insanely fun and is a very viable choice for DPS. Urgot is amazing in early game with a huge damage output and can take on mostly any champion at levels 1-6. He has slows stuns and can trap enemies into your teammates. He can however be hard to learn, but once you master him noobs will cry OP. Now then, let's get started.

Abilities and Skill Ordering

Passive, Zaun-Touched Bolt Augmenter

Urgot's attacks reduce all damage that his target deals by 15% for 2.5 seconds.

This passive, is amazing in 1v1, even though it's only 15%, multiply that by 10 or however many times they attack you and it will make a huge difference. Make sure you're constantly attacking them to keep this on, it will mean the difference between death or not.

Q, Acid Hunter

Urgot fires a missile towards the cursor dealing physical damage and applying his passive (does not apply other on-hit effects). Missile-lock can be achieved by holding the cursor over target afflicted by Noxian Corrosive Charge. It won't lock on invisible minions or wards.

This is your main harass and damage output early game. Along with the lock on from your E the damage is just insane and will leave your enemy crying in the spawning pool. Acid Hunter is also great for last hitting minions while you auto attack them. Also don't try to hit your opponent with this unless there locked on or a sure hit right in front of you. It will just deplete your mana and it's easily dodged or blocked by minions, just don't do it. Max this ability first.

W, Terror Capacitor

Urgot charges up his terror capacitor to gain a shield that absorbs damage for 7 seconds. While the shield is active, Urgot's attacks and missiles slow targets.

This shield is OK but I only recommend putting a point t level 4 than waiting until 14. The damage block isn't really enough to save you or make you invincible unless you went AP, but that would be silly =P. The main perk for this is it gives a slow to your opponents stack-able 2 times. This can really secure a kill or save you from a chaser.

Noxian Corrosive Charge

Urgot launches a corrosive charge at a target location. Enemies afflicted by the charge have reduced armor and take magical damage over 5 seconds.
Acid Hunter is able to missile-lock onto targets affected by Noxian Corrosive Charge. It won't lock on to invisible units or wards.

This is a very useful skill and this is how you will hit your Acid Hunter shots, the DoT is also very good early game for harassing, killing minions, and keeping the enemy from last hitting because they will try to dodge it. Max this second.

Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverser

Pure awesomeness this ability is. It provides amazing CC and can bring enemies into there doom. In early game you can score some nice kills by using it if they get close to your turret. It will swap them into the turret, causing them to take 1 or 2 shots and you can then unload your E and slice them down. However you have to be careful with this skill and pay attention to where you'll end up, don't get too suicidal. Just because it puts your victim in a bad position it doesn't mean your going to end up in a safe place.


Long Sword

I get Long Sword because the damage boost early on is great for first blood and it will soon build into The Brutalizer. Another option is Dorans Ring if you need that extra mana regen.


This is a must have item as it gives you extra AD and cool down reduction for more spam of your Q. In addition it will later build into Youmuu's Ghost Blade.

Mercury's Threads

A fairly standard item for Urgot, giving you magic resist and making you less vulnerable to CC.

Avarice Blade

I get this next so that I get gold faster and some crit. The main reason though is because it builds into the Ghostblade.

Banshee's Veil

I get banshees veil next so you can be a little extra tanky and the spell block can sometimes stop people from canceling your ultimate.

BF Sword

Great additional damage and this will build into the Black Cleaver.

Youmuu's Ghostblade

This item is basically free because you already have the ingredients. The CDR is great and it provides the awesome active good for running, chasing and turret killing.

Last Whisper

Tanks like Rammus and Shen, now won't stand a chance as almost half of their armor is now useless. Also the attack speed is never something to forget.

Black Cleaver

This+Last Whisper will make tanks cry to their mommies and your attack damage is now awesome.

Madred's Bloodrazer

"I'm gonna start stacking health instead because he has too much armor penetration. NOT, your attacks will now shred right through their health with amazing speed.


I use a 9-0-21 build for extra mana regen and CDR. In addition I take the improved flash and ghost and greed.


Marks=Armor Pen. for early game killing
Seals=Armor too make you less squishy
Glyphs=CDR so you can spam Q
Quints=Health because it gives you great early game toughness. Harder to kill is better.
