Introduction
We start off with the Prospector's Blade and Boots. A quick attack boost with life steal and the 200HP is always a plus when trying to live long enough to take top (not to mention you're a squishy.) The shoes...well...you gotta get to where you're going!
Then we're going to want to get a Sanguine Blade. Only grab the Vampiric Scepter first if you have to base (or die) before you have enough gold for the B. F. Sword (which is almost always.) Attack speed is nice, but it's not critical for Varus in the early levels.
Now though, it is time to get that attack speed! Blighted Quiver is a beast if used correctly, so we're going to want to start painting our enemies fast. Grab your Zeal and upgrade to Phantom Dancer asap.
Here's my specialty item that I don't see any other guides using and that's Nashor's Tooth. Even more attack speed and on top of that you get a great 25% Cool down reduction (which is great since you're 2 attacking skills are 8/10 second CD when maxed.) And then...you get some ability power to help out your Blighted Quiver (and even a little extra damage on your ulti) and mana regeneration! Using Varus's Piercing Arrow a lot will drain your mana faster than you think.
By now the game is usually over. But if you want, use that last slot to grab some armor or magic resistance (depending on who's fed on the other team.) If no one is really destroying you, feel free to grab a Frozen Mallet for some health and to keep your enemies from running.
Still haven't won yet? Jeeze, you must be camping. Grab an Infinity Edge to do even more damage!

No trick here.
It's dominion so put one point in each skill.
You want to max Piercing Arrow first. Beastly damage when you load it all the way and it's fairly easy to nail your targets with it (unless you just suck at aiming.)
Then you're going to max Blighted Quiver. It's added magic damage to each attack (Yay for attack speed) and 5% max HP damage for each blight added to the enemy (6% after getting Nashor's Tooth).
Last skill to max is Hail of Arrows. Mainly used to slow people and to set off your blights (for me anyways.)

Here's how I use Varus's skills. Some people like this some people think it's horrible. Seeing as how I'm usually carrying my team in dominion and win 80% of my matches, I'll be sticking with it.
I go in and grab mid. It gives me time to level up and put that 2nd point into my Piercing Arrow.
I scurry my way to the top and let my Piercing Arrow load and BOOM! I usually nail 3 if not all 4 of the enemy champs with it giving us a huge edge already.
<MID GAME PLAYING STYLE TO BE ADDED LATER>
By the time I hit level 13, I'm practically unstoppable. I sneak up on someone (from a far) let my Piercing Arrow load, BOOM! HEADSHOT!
If they don't run, I nail them 3 times and toss my Hail of Arrows on them setting off blight. Bye bye 18% health, if you even have 18% health left, bwahhaha.
If they do try to run, I toss Hail of Arrows first, then start auto attacking. If they get out of range, I launch another Piercing Arrow at them, BOOM! HEADSHOT! usually doing around 500 damage + 18% of their max health in damage, then they die. :)
