The world is not always as civilized as people might think. There are still those who would follow the blackest paths of magic and become corrupted by the darker powers that flow through Runeterra. Shauna Vayne knows this fact well. As a young privileged girl in the heart of Demacia's elite, her father tried to convince her of the constabulary's ever-vigilant eye. Young and nave, she truly believed that her world was one of perfect safety, until one night, when a twisted witch took interest in her father. The malevolent woman overcame her father's conciliar guard, then tortured her family before murdering them. The young Shauna escaped only by hiding herself and then fleeing once the hag had departed, plagued by the screams of her loved ones as she ran. A burning hatred was born in her that day, one that could never be denied.
Vayne was able to take care of herself using her father's money, and she began to train as soon as an instructor would have her as a student. By the time she was a fully grown woman, she had become a grim warrior. However, the fields of battle were not to be her home. Demacia needed a protector, one who hunted those lost to the darkness. Shauna used her family's contacts to become the first Night Hunter, and now her prowess is the stuff of legends. It is said that those who practice the black arts quake when they hear that the Night Hunter is on the prowl. Despite her crusade, Shauna has looked at the League of Legends in horror. There are champions who have clearly lost themselves to the blackest of magics, and who have been embraced within the League even though they should be put down for the safety of all. The time has come for the Night Hunter to execute her secret mission to purge the League of Legends.
Not all shadows are to be feared. At least, if Vayne has her way.

Doran's Blade: I highly recommend starting with this item in almost every situation. Such a versatile item as this allows for the much needed early Damage and Health. Not to mention that 3% lifesteal which will help much more then you imagine early game.
Berserker's Greaves: Possibly one of the most fundamental items in Vayne's build. The movement speed combined with your passive gives enough speed in most early game cases and the Attack Speed is extremely necessary to this build.
Zeal/Phantom Dancer: Highly overlooked by many other Vayne builds I have seen, this item contributes to all 3 stats we will be focusing on. Movement speed boost along with Vayne's Passive along with Berserker's Greaves should be more then enough move-speed to get you through the rest of the game. Once again, the attack speed in absolutely essential to this build. With the added bonus of Critical Chance, you only become more deadly. :)
Madred's Bloodrazor: The heart and sole of the build. I have figured that for maximum results with Vayne, this item is a MUST. Bonus attack speed, Armor for survivability, and Damage for the extra Umph, not even including the Passive which will stack with Silver Bolts to output arguably some of the best sustainable damage in the game. With 2.000 attack speed, In 1.5 seconds, you will hit about 21% of their maximum health in Damage. Combine this with Condemn and Tumble and you have a guaranteed win in almost any 1v1 situation.
Now Here comes decision making time. Depending on how your game is going, I recommend buying these items in the order you feel is appropriate. For your last item, sell your Doran's Blade to allow for the extra item slot.
Frozen Mallet: This item eliminates the need for a reliable exhaust in my honest opinion. With Vayne's potential for chasing and attack speed, it's practically a guaranteed proc. In addition, the extra Health offers much more survivability to Vayne if you're not doing well with your escaping tactics.
Trinity Force: I understand that you need a Phage to complete this item, as well as the frozen Mallet, however I still recommend both for the Sheen proc on Tumble. Combine your Condemn, with a Tumble Proc, on a 3rd hit Silver Bolts Proc and you have yourself one dead champion.
Bloodthirster: For the extra lifesteal, survivability, and damage.
Alternate Items: Coming Soon.
