Which runes are good with crit build?

Lethal Tempo is the best option for both the on-hit and crit builds. Generally, it provides the best utility out of all runes available. The bonus attack speed and range are highly useful regardless of the build.

is crit just obsolete rn even if you are vs poke or some comp you cant auto a lot?

I wouldn’t say it’s obsolete, but the on-hit build is generally better right now. I think it mostly boils down to the on-hit build needing just two items rather than the crit build needing 3.

I know basically has a with W but wouldn't be overpowered pretty much every game? The amount of true damage she deals would be insane. I know is probably suggested because of the lifesteal but I feel like it kind of subtracts from the on-hit. Your thoughts?

Actually no, I think Kraken Slayer would be quite underpowered on Vayne. The whole purpose of the item is to give marksman who lack anti-tank resources the ability to take down armor-stacking tanks. Since Vayne already does this, it doesn't actually make much since (think of the Law of Diminishing Returns).

Immortal Shieldbow is almost always going to be the better purchase simply because it gives Vayne exactly what she lacks in her kit: survivability. She doesn't need even more true damage on top of what she already has, she needs the ability to survive.

That's a very solid argument. I realize your point here.

I didn't think about survivability not existing on (probably because I don't really play her, and when I play against her I either delete her or can't kill her lol) and now understand the need for .

I'm still working out the kinks, and I'm sure Riot will be making some pretty big item changes during preseason, so expect the build to change somewhat in the next couple months!

What matchups are good to pick vayne top into? Besides the super tanks like ornn, maokai, or cho gath, would picking her into others like illaoi or darius be good? I used to blind pick vayne, but I keep getting counter picked with champs like rengar top lane. Should I only choose her if I am not before the enemy?

It's pretty risky picking her before the enemy toplaner, but I've found that once you get used to playing Vayne top, it matters less. There are still ways to be effective even after laning against champions like Teemo, it's just harder and takes longer to scale.

Anyway, Vayne actually excels more vs bruisers than she does tanks from my experience, specifically against champions like Garen, Kled, Darius, etc.

So i read this guide and thought it was well built but its missing one thing... How does van hellsing's little assistant fair against sad edgy moon boi (basically aphelios)

To answer your question, I actually don't have as much experience facing Aphelios as I'd like to. However, from what I've gathered, I feel like he's one of Vayne's harder matchups. He out-ranges her, out-sustains her, and simply out-damages her (for the most part). So, while not as difficult as Caitlyn or Draven, it's one of her more difficult matchups.
