Quickstart intro

Ok the basic jist of this build is to have Yorick sustain an early game harass w/ W (Omen of Pestilence) while not losing late game power. There's an early focus on AP (Ability Power), and CDR (Cool Down Reduction) while late game is more about AD (Attack Damage).

Item order:

Starting off w/ Doran's Ring will give you an AP boost, and help mana regen.

You'll be building Fiendish Codex next for even more AP, CDR, and mana regen.

Boots that increase your CDR.

Then you build into Morello's Evil Tomb which should take to you the team fight portion of the match.

Mid-Late Game item order isn't really important. Just grab what you think you need.

I almost never build this because I rarely have the money. Still Infinity Edge is the highest damage item in the game.

A cheaper alternative to Infinity Edge.

It's hard for me to justify buying Rageblade since I don't spend much time auto attacking w/ this build. Still it does give some AD, and AP.

To be honest I rarely have enough gold to build many items after the Tomb. His tower harass tends to make games go by much faster than normal.

Runes\Spells\Masteries

For the most part any useful runes will do.

Summoner spells can be changed around also. I like Exhaust if there's an AD champ I can keep em from hurting me while I go in for the kill.

Masteries are setup mostly for CDR, AP, and mana regen. Along w/ getting my Summoner bonuses.

Items

Well you can easily see my items, and I mostly focus on early game AP, mana regen, and CDR. Late game I try to focus on AD.

Now of the items not listed here are a few substitutes if you feel like mixing it up.

If you need to hit faster no so much harder The Black Cleaver makes last hitting a bit easier.

Deathfire Grasp's active tends to take a nice chunk outta the health of any enemy. While it's not quiet as good as Morello's Evil Tomb it's active is useful against tanky champs.

Though it cost more this works out much better than manamune for this build cause you're building off health, and AD.

Typical Yorick Items I don't like for this build, and why.

You really don't get much health outta this item. With the nerf coming up it might not be viable.

It takes about 15 Minutes to get the gold for this, and another 15 to mature it into a 64 AD item. What I've noticed when building manamune is that I'm pretty well useless to my team for the first 1/2 of the game. Considering this build has few mana problems I feel building Atma's is a better choice even though it provides less AD it has the chance to get stronger through health items which also helps your passive.

Frozen Heart can be really good against the right team, but I don't see it viable as a always build item.

Health and slow is nice, but not enough AD on this item for me.

Gives a ton of bonuses but not enough of everything you need for the price. Honestly I think just buying sheen alone is a better use of gold.

Skills

Omen of Pestilence (W) is pretty much your main skill for the first half of the game. It gives you a slow, AoE (area of effect) damage, and a little zombie. Use your W to harass the enemy, and you'll deny farming, push tower, and/or get a few kills. Also if you add 60 more AP this basically becomes a minion nuke for easy farming.

When you need to heal Omen of Famine (E) will help, but it's don't expect a miracle. It'll let you lane longer than you probably should. Use it on the caster minions, and try to aim for the minion that won't die soonest.

Omen of War (Q) is useful for close combat when Yorick is attacking. The slight speed boost combined w/ W can help you escape or catch the enemy.

Omen of Death is Yorick's Ult. I tend to use it on myself when taking towers (unless there's a good AD nearby). You can use it on an ally just before they die, but if your teammates don't know how your ult works they might waste it running away.

To be honest this build doesn't make good use of Yorick's passive. Still most the zombies last 5 seconds at the most anyway so buffing them up isn't a big deal.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Good early game harassment.
Spam W w/ very little mana problems.
Lane domination.
High CDR allows more damage/healing/zombies.

Cons:

A bit squishy
Weak late game if you don't farm well.
W has longest cool down of Yorick's skills.
Not a great out of lane 1v1 build.
Harass is tough against support.

Summary

Overall this build helps push defended towers, and that helps win games. You're not gonna carry, and you're not solo any kills, but you are gonna help. Keep your distance and watch for ganks, and you'll easily pushing for victory. I've found most jungler's are hesitant against ganking my lane unless my lane partner has low health, because his allies are at low health and he's likely to get 2v1'd, or them killed.
