Start off with an Amplifying Tome.
More AP and HP.

Hextech Revolver is up next.
Transfusion will just fill you up.

Get some Boots of Swiftness.
Keeping up for early kills is rather important.

Time for a Deathcap.
AP and HP, time to rock balls.

Rylai's is crucial to get those well deserved kills.
Simple enough.

Finish your Will of the Anchients.

Spirit Visage to help keep you full at that point in the round.

ANOTHER Deathcap.
If by now you're not wrecking faces, you're donig it wrong.
The second cap will help.
And you have two hats on.
Silly you.

Follow that up with the potions.

Sanguine Pool.
Just needs one point for a while.
I use if for chasing and escaping.
Not so much as damaging.
Oh.
And before I forget.
It gets you past towers.
And kills is the enemy spawn.
Just so you know.

Hemoplague.
SLAM this beast down.
Makes you wreck with your following skills.
And, just as they think they got a way...

Get some more points in Sanguine Pool if you're not getting away or getting the kills you want.

For Vlad, AP is HP.
And like all AP characters, more AP is great. (Obviously.)
And walking out the gate with 21 AP is fine and dandy.
But, walking out with 34.38 more, that's faaaaaaaantastic.
55 AP at the start. I think that's just ****ing silly.
And, with all that AP you get a whopping 99.684 HP!
Just go have a party at level 1.
