Welcome to my first guide for Malzahar, the prophet of the void. This build makes Malzahar a bit tankyer, but he is still completley capable of insane damage in team fights and 1v1 fights. I apologize for my bad English. So, without wasting time, lets begin.

These are my standard AP runes. Magic Peneration works well at poking and dealing damage in teamfights. Flat AP on Quints is standard. AP per level scales you well into late game and mana regenration is good because malzahar has some mana problems.

Take standard 21/0/9 masteries, taking magic penetration, Ability power, cooldown reduction, Ability power per level in offense and reduced death duration, mana per level and mana regenration per level in utility.

For items start with Normal boots and 3 health pots, or, if you have no real mana regenration 2 health pots and 1 mana pot. You can skip the 2 doran's rings but it helps a lot in the early game with additional AP, health and mana regeneration. Then obviously take sorcerer's shoes. Than RoE, the mana, health and ability power are awesome. Afterwards take rabadon's deathcap, mage's best friend. Why do I take deathfire grasp? Well, the mana regeneration is awesome, it has some ability power and of course the cooldown reduction also helps alot. But that's not all. It's active part CAN be cast during channeling your ultimate. Than an abyssal scepter for the magic penetration. The archangel staff is good because you will have a lot of mana later in the game so this is a great pick. Than guardian angel for the resist and the revive capability.

I max Malefic visions first for the farm capability, Q second because the silence also extends and it has great AP scaling. I max W last because it deals percentage damage. Obviously taking my ultimate at level 6, 11 and 16.

Malzahar is the master of farming. Use your E on a minion and start auto attacking that creep. Switch your auto attacking to the minion that it ''bounces'' to.

When you hit your Q, if you're in range, use your E and W on the enemy champion and use your ultimate. If you have ignite or deathfire grasp it can be used when channeling and NOT cancel your ultimate. Wow, they melted.
