Yeah I have to agree that Trinity is a bit of a waste of money here.
You become a 1v1 beast when you get Trinity, but in team fights, you want that tankiness and you want that damage. Trinity simply doesn't give you enough team fight damage.

His Nimbus scales with AD AND it hits 3 targets, so that's essentially triple scaling (0.8 x 3 = 2.4 AD scaling) and his Cyclone hits up to 5 targets up to 4 times; for reality purposes I will only say that he hits 3 people 2 times each; that's still six times his great 1.0 scaling.

Good teamfight Wukong will Nimbus in, Cyclone (similar to Xin Zhao Charge in, Crescent) and then Decoy out and come back in when he's not the focus anymore. He comes back in with a Q on the enemy carry, and sit on them to anti-carry, and then try to Nimbus as many targets as possible when the cooldown is up, and then Decoy out again.

This means that you should really ONLY build AD (I suggest not even going Crit) and tanky-ish; Decoy should be enough to let you get away with only building slightly tanky, but those AD scalings man, don't waste them. Trinity is really just a 1v1 item and doesn't synergyze too well with Wukong since if you E and proc the Sheen/Trinity, you still have to wait 1.5 seconds (assuming Nimbus is .3 second travel time, .2 second attack animation) before you can proc your Sheen/Trinity again for the Q.

The sheen unique passive is very good for him, but the +ability power is not. I'd argue your better off just stacking AD. If you take the sheen, you're pretty much locked into building the tforce, which is just too expensive for not enough benefit. Once again, the passive is good, but the attack power is too low, and you don't benefit at all from the magic damage, or the attack speed and movement speed really aren't that useful either since nimbus takes care of closing distance and gives +attack speed.

The frozen mallet works with the Atmas impaler quite well, so i'd argue it's not a waste.

Tforce just not worth the cost.

Thanks for the advice guys. I updated the build by giving Wukong more damage and less tanky to make him more of a threat in team fights.

You are either stupid or you havent played him yet dude, Sheen is the CORE item for wukong, his combo is "E" - basick attack with sheen - "Q" (resets auto attack) - attack with sheen. so trinity is a MUST for him, i would say frozen malet is a waste

DocAwesome is somewhat correct; tanky DPS Wukong doesn't work. He doesn't have enough damage to make up for the tanky DPS build; he has decent scaling on Nimbus and huge scaling on Cyclone; I've seen this build and it just doesn't work, no one cares about you in teamfights because you don't output enough damage, you're pretty much a Leona with no CC but your ultimate.

Leona and Wukong are slightly UP right now, so... I'll wait for the buffs to come and then see if your build is still viable.

I disagree, the trinity force is a huge waste of money for Wukong, the only ability of his that gets + Magic damage is decoy, and you're really not relying on this for damage. It's for escaping and setting up harass. 4000 on an item that really only halfway benefits your champion is not great imo.
