Introduction

Well hi there. This is my first guide. Wukong has been my main for a while, and he is my favorite champ by far. Wukong is a very versatile champion, being a great counter to the squishy middles, a strong top lane, and a decent jungler.(I don't jungle him pretty much at all)
From this point of view, to me he is like a talon, except not as squishy.

Runes/Masteries
Later on i will address situational runes, but for now here i will put the runes i most commonly use.
My Most basic Rune set when playing Wukong (TOP LANE)
Breakdown
Greater Mark of Attack Damage - I use these marks because it gives Wukong such a strong early game, and the armor reduction from his Crushing Blow in my opinion makes using armor pen runes pointless. Greater Seal of Armor - Basic Seals for Top lanes as it seems every plays AD Bruisers top. Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regeneration - Wukong doesn't necessarily need mana regen, but if you end up spamming too much you will wind up with mana problems, and the only mana item i would suggest getting on wukong is a Sheen or a Banshee's Veil. Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage - Same reason as Greater Mark of Attack Damage. Simply because it gives wukong a very strong early game, and he already has a very strong armor reduction spell.
Other Viable Runes
greater mark of desolation - As i addressed earlier, Wukong does not need armor pen, and if he does he should just build it.
Greater Mark of Attack Damage gives Wukong a much stronger early game. But these are still "okay" runes to use.greater seal of replenishment - For those pushover lanes *cough*
Gangplank*cough*, that you know you will be winning therefore being able to spam your spells will help you zone, and win your lane. Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist - When you don't think you'll be needing the mana regen, and need some more late game defence.greater quintessence of desolation - Same reasons as greater mark of desolation
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed - Very fun runes. Allow you to zone those squishy tops, and greater early escapability with Warrior Trickster.
Skills
Stone Skin
Actually a very very strong passive. Giving you more tankiness if there are enemies around you. Endgame teamfights you will get a free 40 armor and magic resist just by being around all 5 members of their team.
Crushing Blow
Wukong's Q spell. Very strong Debuff, reducing your opponent's armor by 30%. Great damage
Warrior Trickster
OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SPELL. Literally a juking spell, and so much potential. Learn to use the S key for this. It will leave your opponents guessing where you went. Along with nimbus stike you can dash to enemies and pull off extreme jukes.

Countering and Dealing with Counters
Shen
This *****. Pardon my language, but he is probably the champion i have most problems with against top lane. When playing against Shen, avoid letting him harass you out of lane. If you want to go for killing him, the best time would be early game before he becomes too tanky, and sustained with that Vorpal Blade. Try to keep up with him in farm, if it is a good shen you shouldn't win the lane. Simply keep farming on tower, and have your jungler gank.

- If you want to try to beat him, the best time is early game, as Shen has a pretty weak early game. Unless if he starts with a Ruby Crystal or Doran's Shield
- FARM FARM FARM FARM FARM, Shen will most likely not be able to completely push you out of lane.
- Dodge that Taunt. Trust me
Lee Sin
Everyone Says lee sin is the strongest wukong counter. He has very strong burst, and high early game damage, however if you make him miss his Resonating Strike he loses a lot of damage.
Tactics

- Early game: Dodge his Q or fight him around minions to cripple his early game damage
- Rush a Wriggle's Lantern and Ninja Tabi
- Let him push the lane, and trade damage well
