You might have made an honest mistake and I may have jumped to conclusions, but there are far too many guidewriters out there that max a skill by level 8and and genuinely think it's correct, so I assumed you were just another one of them. My apologies.
My apologies as well, I didn't mean to come off rude. Thank you for noticing that though; it would have been pretty pathetic if others noticed this and immediately clicked away to someone else's guide over a silly mistake.
SmokedCarpenter, sorry if that came across to you like that. I only said that and your response more or less read, "lol this sux". I fixed the leveling thing, if that makes things any better (Was it really any worse than a grammar mistake? I think most people would realize it was a just a mistake). On the other hand, the other two guys analyzed my guide and gave me something constructive to go on instead of waving the entire guide off because you didn't like my rune choice and I accidentally hit a wrong button somewhere.
In fact, your criticism of my runes is just opinion anyway. The other two at least gave me the impression that they had played Xerath before and could contribute something to a guide about Xerath.
And if it comes as a surprise that if you word your responses politely, people are more inclined to listen to you.... well, in any case, thank you for correcting me.

Read you guys' responses, and except for SmokedCarpenter I'll make some rewrites and consider some other builds. I'm ambivalent about Archangel, but the I really do like the mana it gives you. My problem with Unholy grail (which I think I'll remove as a core) is that it only gives you mana regen, and in my opinion I think more max mana is better for a burster, especially when you can rely on passive for the regen. However, with the season 4 being more farm-oriented, I might reconsider that as well.
Thanks for the input.
So you're telling me you'll listen to criticism that is really just opinion because it's worded politely but you won't listen to me when I tell you somewhat rudely you've done something that is 100% dead wrong and impossible in your guide? seems legit.
Thanks for the input.
With Unholy grail you got enough mana regeneration (plus, most of the time you will have the blue buff). Also, the "%of mana becomes AP" isn't useful since you wont be building another mana item (i wouldn't reccomend RoA, since you fight from far away)
Your range and poke makes it hard for akali to stay in lane and because you can stay back far, she cant dash to you ( if you play correctly). So it's a skillmatchup..
Also, you get the archangel, but if you already have an athenes holy grale and your passive bonus, you really dont need the extra mane from archangel.
