Try my build ok? Then compare it to your build and see what you think is better thank you.
btw. no +1 nor -1. You surely need to practice kata a bit more especially on rankeds.
The reason I don't pick up the revolver earlier is because the spellvamp is not worth the extra health and slow from the crystal scepter. I agree that the revolver would help in keeping you alive early-mid game while stacking the soulstealer, but getting the first 3-5 stacks should be enough to overpower most champions early game. The combo of Instinct >> Shumpo will drastically reduce anything they can throw at you and give you enough reduction to kill them first, or cut off your ult and shumpo to safety.
This is assuming they don't bring a full on gank your way.
Not to mention my defensive stats and damage reduction from shumpo should keep any Kat alive long enough to pick up the revolver.
I have seen many Kats pick up the revolver right after boots, but they honestly don't scare me. Scurry away from the ult, and run back in as they finish the spin. Without the 35% slow from the crystal scepter they can be easily avoided. The spell vamp from shump and bouncing blade won't do anything for them if you can work around the spin. For me, I'd rather spend the gold keeping them within my range. Once they realize they are not getting away from a fight, they get defensive.. and that opens up for an easy lane farm. The defensive and offensive attributes of the crystal scepter are just way too much to pass up.
Countering any champion good against Kat falls under when I get banshees. There's not much else to say about it.. it is the only real way to block is disable other than avoiding them or faking your ult (jumping into a group, throw a bouncing blade, and remain stationary for anyone that may jump the gun on their disables.. such as warwick or malzahar ult). If you unfortunately find yourself disabled during your ult, start throwing dancing and porting around. As your teammates finish off the enemies you will pick up assists and reduce the cool down on your ult.
Please let me know if this helps you enough and if it's worth weaving into the guide. Thanks again for your input.
The guide is relatively short and I think you aren't in-depth enough on some things.
I'm missing a chapter about how to counter champions that katarina is weak to
I think the hextech revolver is WAY to late, when you're building up your stacks early-midgame you will be at low/medium health quite a while making you an easy gank target and you don't want to lose your stacks at that time.
Also try to get some icons in ^^
Just my 2 cents though, good job at making this guide.
