Today I have updated the masteries and will add a chapter of why I pick Elder Lizard later on.

Nobody said they NEED red.
But compared to Madred's the Spirit of the Elder Lizard actually is usefull troughout the game where Madred's only helps your clear time due to it's passive.

Elder Lizard also gives you some needed Attack Damage which is slightly lacking in this build, while increasing the damage dealt to monsters from sightstone on by 20%(25% with Elder Lizard)which would already be +12dmg on level 1 with these runes&masteries which is more then the 10 from Madred's aswell and also In my opinion beats out the 25% chance to deal +300dmg.

I'll add a more detailed explenation of why I pick up Spirit of the Elder Lizard in the guide later on.

I know that usually you would get Madreds on Xin Zhao, I personally prefer the spirit of the elder lizard because this allows your carry to take the red buff abit sooner aswell as giving yourself an early&cheap +attack damage item that "lacks" so to say in the rest of the build.

Most certainly you could also build Madreds or Ancient Golem based on your personal preference, this is just how I like to build Xin Zhao.

Xin Zhao is obviously a Madreds jungler. If you want to build Spirit Stone on him, the correct upgrade is Spirit of the Ancient Golem.
