even tho this seems to work, i just cant stop building ap for zilean.. his scalings are pretty good and the damage he can deal late game is insane.. i even played him top with the same mid build with more magic pentration and it worked actually..

Also, unless you have a tip for him, I'd suggest adding Yasuo as a tier 10 counter to Zilean. He dashes everywhere, windwall blocks your bombs, and his passive shield counters bomb damage. I ban him every time I play Zilean. Can't deal with him at all

Hi! First, this is not a troll pick, it's serious. And I can tell you that if you're playing against a Yasuo, there is no problem for Zilean because you don't have to win the lane as I specified. You only have to use as much as you can the Kleptomancy. In teamfights you don't have to be worry about his W because you only have to use your slow and get very close to him and use the combo Q+W+Q on yourself so he can't block it with the W, remember that I said that you are a tank so you have to play like one. Forget that you're a ranged champion, if you need to play as a melee champion DO IT, YOU HAVE 3 LIVES!. The point is that no matter what you do, only be useful for your team and make them win the game!

I ban Yasuo because his dashes are a massive pain in the ***. Zilean almost never wins lane phase against him, even as AP, and I don't like bombs being completely blocked by one ability (he can block you from bombing yourself, depending on how you or Yas position). But to each their own I suppose. That said I have several questions:

- can you add yasuo to the tier list? He shows up a fair bit in toplane and laning against him is very rough
- can you add jax (for similar reasons)
- why unflinching over revitalize? Considering that revitalize boosts the healing from your ultimate
- why time warp tonic over cosmic insight? I.e. you could pair cosmic insight with ionian boots for 15% summoner CDR and 45% spell CDR (significant for getting more E>W>E or Q>E>W>Q etc. combos off). I don't know the numbers but it doesn't seem like time warp tonic boosts your early game sustain enough to be the better pick
- why barrier over flash. I'd guess this assumes good positioning?
- how much gold do you tend to get from kleptomancy? It's definitely abusable on Zilean but not nearly as good after the nerfs (I love playing aery Zilean with athene's)
- would you ever consider taking domination secondary for (example) zombie ward and ingenious hunter? For the 53% CDR on guardian angel?

Hi again! First of all I'M NOT JOKING, THIS IS SERIOUS. I invite you to search my profile in any page to see how I'm doing with this pick (I'm from LAN). So now I will answer your questions one by one:
1) I don't think yasuo is a problem, his Q (tornado) is easy to dodge and if you max your E he won't be a problem anymore because like I said "You don't have to win the lane, you only have to be useful for your team".
2) With jax it's the same, only max your E and when you see that jax is using his E you only escape with your movility. Just don't be stupid trying to fight him, remember that you're not AP Zilean.
3) I consider better unflinching because you'll need that to escape in early game and survive, the same in teamfights because you'll use that summoner spells all the time and I consider that 5% healing is nothing, it works better with champions that really have heals on their abilities.
4) You gain a lot of potions with the Kleptomancy and that will be very useful if you are playing agressive or defensive in early game, the CDR is important but I consider that surviving is more important.
5) To survive, Zilean is weak in top so he needs a lot of things to survive. He is one of the champions with less armor in the game, also people will try to dive your tower to kill you and that's for sure (Don't missunderstand my words, he can be weak but he is really useful in every part of the game if he's played correctly).
6) I tend to gain A LOT, I can't say a number because I'm not completely sure, but I can say that even if the Kleptomancy is nerfed it still works very well and it's the best rune for this build.
7) Yes, but unfortunately it doesn't works with the Guardian Angel, it only works with activable items.
