Nobody plays Kog these days. I used to play him a lot 6 months ago, AD or AP.

I started to play him again last week and completely wrecked ppl. All you need is to be mid, farm farm farm until lvl ~7/8, and then if you have farmed well enough + the bonus mid XP, your damage is devastating.

I max the Ooze first (E), 'cos Kog lacks CC and its a good skill to stay in lane, harass (E slow + Z range is very frustrating) and it helps to farm a lot more (E + ult kills a minion wave).

Theres the stuff I use:

- small Madred's
- Sorcerer shoes
- Guinsoo
- Wit's End
- Malady
- Banshee's veil
- Madred's bloodrazor

9/0/21

9 Magic pen reds
9 Mana regen yellows
9 Mres/lvl blues
3 Atk speed quints


I'll maybe write a complete guide about it..

Off course you need a good tank or initiator in your team, and you dont have CC's like stuns and so on, so the rest of your team must have some, if you are alone you get focused easely.


I think he's still viable and very fun to play. (I know we never see him in High ELO games but thats because he has no CC and is too squishy, in my opinion.)

What you do is get AS stuff and AP stuff along with Bloodrazor and you shred ppl's max HP with ur W.

The AP+AS wrecks ppl. I tried AD and didnt like it at all, you are useless until late game, in early the AP kog's damage is already high. (With E maxed + ult)

I also get a lot of fun playing him.

Yes, and AS+AP continues to be useful early through late game due to % MAX HP shred :D

Kog is 2 fun :D

Yea, I can't wait until the buff for him to make him par with other carries since he is actually really fun and good, just 2squishy and not enough good CC for a carry, just a line slow :S

Wit's End is also great for the Mres bonus actualy.. Maybe I'll try to replace it with a nashor's tooth, but then I'll have to find smthing to have more mres

No, just build durability on Kog'Maw. Lifesteal and spell vamp are both unnecessary. The magic damage on your attacks don't work with spell vamp.
