Solo Queue today was alright. There were good teams in the end but at the beginning, it was pretty rough. Today, I felt like there were more game throwers than the previous days. You had the lead and the win was clear ahead and people just gave it away. It was really unfortunate.

I got a chance to play some of my favorite champions and it just didn't go too well. When I picked solo top Ryze against Lee Sin, the lane was pretty even. We were usually 1:1 cs top except I had a assist on Lee Sin from their jungler's failed invade. Regarding our Ziggs middle, he was doing extremely well and actually drew first blood. Unfortunately, our team didn't really coordinate and everyone felt like wandering around, giving up our lead. While top and mid was doing fine, bottom lane lost pretty badly. Nunu + Kog is a really bad comp against Ezreal and Taric and they were just cced and denied constantly bot. As you can see from the screenshot, the CS margin is very significant and that led to the Ezreal becoming a powerhouse in the end while our Kog didn't really do much. I really don't know what I could have done all the way from top. I'd love to contest dragon whenever it was up but there was absolutely no presence from the bottom lane and we just got outwarded terribly =(. In my second game, I was actually last pick that game so I was cursed to be the support role. When I asked the Kog who called AD, he specifically told me he wanted Janna with Ignite to counter their Soraka for our kill lane. However, that plan didn't really work. Kog was constantly poked even through my shields and couldn't cs because the bottom lane composition was just terrible. Their jungler didn't really interfere bot a lot because of my wards and just because their bot was winning 2v2 alone so they didn't need his assistance. I also don't know what I could have done since I timed my shields fine, warded properly and yeah I have no idea. I guess everyone has those games where you just can't do anything about it, especially when you're stuck as a support! I also had a game where I played MF but I forgot to take a SS at the end. I was on par/a little above the enemy Tristana+Taric lane with my Janna support. Unfortunately, our middle and top didn't do too well and lost any lane control they had so the enemy laners just roamed, making us lose a lot of jungle presence. There were several moments where we could have turned the game around and won but everytime, someone would throw the game and suicide recklessly. Thankfully, the other team had people that suicided for no reason either but ultimately, we lost because of the advantage early in the game =(

Despite all the losing I had today, I actually had two consecutive Warwick games and they were pretty solid. One game was a jungle wick and another was solo top. In the jungle wick game, we invaded and stole the Shaco's red buff and that set him really behind. A piece of advice to any players that freak about not banning Shaco in ranked - if you know how to react to counterjungling, you should be perfectly fine. Unfortunately for the Shaco, the game was just a slow gradual decline the rest of the game for him. To really secure the win for us, I ganked lanes that needed some assistance and camped top/mid lane whenever I had my ultimate up because Infinite Duress is almost a guaranteed kill whenever it's off the 1 minute cooldown. In the end, everyone snowballed because of jungle ganks, proper cs and teamwork. There was a brief point in time where we almost lost the game because TF got caught by Sion stun followed by the rest of his team. As a reaction to TF getting caught, I died also trying to save TF because I was too overconfident in how "tanky" my Warwick was in that point of time of the game. I was mistaken :( ! The next game after that last uplifting game, I was able to grab Warwick once again as second pick and played him top. Once the enemy team saw me pick Warwick, they correctly picked Kennen to counter me early game and well, it damn worked. Kennen is a strong counter to Warwick top because of his massive range and Warwick really relies on harassing the enemy laner while he's healing back to full. Thankfully, I was able to decently keep up with Kennen and could afford a Chalice, an item that is really underrated. Chalice is a must have for top-wick if you are against a AP champ because of the MR it gives and mana regeneration that is used to spam his Q that grants him so much health on a relatively low cooldown. So all thanks to Chalice, I actually turned a losing lane into a snowball winning lane for myself. After a gank or two from Lee Sin, I was able to turn Warwick into the invincible monster he is usually known for and if you look at the screenshot, I actually didn't die once with a respectable amount of kills and assists! My most fond moment of this game was when I was tanking four people at once without losing an ounce of health because I spammed Q like mad and the auto attacks that regenerate health is just too crazy. I strongly suggest a lot of players to try out Warwick because he's really op at the moment. He's a really big powerhouse so give him a shot!

Today was also a pretty rough patch with teammates and I'm not using the usual ahhhh it's my teammate's fault but really, it is. Honestly today, I either won or was even with my enemy laner and I think that's a fine accomplishment. Unfortunately, I think the real killer for me was improper warding from most lanes and MIA calls that were too slow that led to a 1v3 towerdive. Such is another day in Solo Queue! =(

With the champions that I played today, it's kinda funny because I saw people lose/not do too well with the champions that I love the most and it made me cringe inside a little. In my first game, Kennen kept getting ganked by Lee and didn't really ward. Down in the bottom lane, Kog Maw went a really interesting build that I really don't agree with. Triple Dorans -> Wriggles -> Phantom Dancer is just a questionable build entirely because you lose out if the opposing AD grabs an IE and Vamp which they did. In our jungle, Udyr had a rough start after feeding first blood to their jungle invade which I spotted early and pinged him to stay away from. Unfortunately, his curiousity was too strong and first blood was drawn, giving Graves a advantage bot and everyone else on the enemy team a free ward or pot. The thing that really lost us the game in this was Kennen ulting improperly and Kog not really having real damage until later in the game when it was almost over. The kicker about the Kennen's ultimate is that he'd flash in without popping his ult, eating full duration Sion stuff and then getting kicked out of the enemy team by Lee Sin when he was baited to ult. This happened a lot of times and that really lost us the game due to poor engages. I tried my best to ult Graves and kill him and that did work a while until they won more fights and he was a lot stronger.

tl;dr Did fine top, jungle giving up first blood hurt all lanes, bot and mid didn't have the best time and initiates were bad

I played Janna and did the standard support's job - shield properly, ward, don't feed etc. Unfortunately the Graves I was playing with wasn't very the best. He lost every trade because he over extended versus a MF and Soraka lane. He ate a lot of Double Up's too and that didn't help us one bit. Ultimately, we lost bot as a result. Looking at the other lanes, Morgana did extremely well and was keeping us in the game. Our jungle Fiora did decent early game but really falls off without a proper build because well, that's Fiora for you. Our top Nidalee did alright but like most Nid's, they fall off late game. In my honest opinion, there were a lot of opportunities for us to win and we just couldn't seize it properly because of people being split or just making dumb plays. Ultimately, bot really snowballed hard and there's only so much a support can do on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to damage and defense.

tl;dr lost bot lane with a graves that I wanted to yell at but wanted to keep team morale, top did alright, morg won mid but dumb plays lost us game.

In this Graves game, I was really disappointed in the Graves I was supporting last game as Janna and I decided to play him myself this game. As you can see, it was kinda a blow out bot. I really can't say much about this game because Volibear and TF did standard ganks and we often had 4v4 fights down bot that we won because of better positioning and I was pretty big at the time from CS and etc.

In this wick game, I was actually queued up against the previous top laner in my last Warwick game and it was good seeing them again because I know the small mistakes I made in lane and capitalized on it. This game, Amumu actually came up and secured more kills than I would on my own so that helped. As a result of those early ganks, we snowballed into Lee Sin's jungle and stole/gank and virtually made him useless. This was a pretty satisfying one-sided game.

Note: I don't really try to focus on what I or others did wrong in Victories. It's kinda pointless because you can imagine how it played out and I know what I did right and wrong. I try to focus more on the defeats and analyze what really went wrong even if I couldn't have done anything about it.

Today was a pretty positive gain in Solo Queue! I learned some things today and I'm glad they didn't bite me in the ***.

imgur.com/r1cWg.jpg

Alright, so I picked Lee Sin because I grabbed Morgana to trade someone so they could play. The person didn't have my preferred champions like Kennen so I had to settle on Lee Sin. Whole team said I'd do fine against Riven but nope, it was against a Warwick that was later picked and I was doomed to lose that lane seeing how I was using pure armor pages to stop Riven. At the beginning, Shyvana ganked top and burnt his potions and flash but as you can imagine, WW has ridiculous sustain and I couldn't keep the guy down since I had no MR to counter his Q spam. I did my best to prevent myself from feeding Warwick too much even with constant Riven ganks on me top. Thankfully, it worked out and I helped Morgana get a few early kills to snowball and ultimately carry us. Our bottom lane didn't do too badly either but it wasn't a complete blowout.

tl;dr : It's good to trust in teammates but they will **** you over sometimes like putting you as Lee versus WW.

I was pretty sure I was going to lose this game because our first pick instalocked Sivir and said they were going top as Aura Sivir against Udyr. Now, that usually would kill a lot of people's morale but we stayed positive and kept looking forward. In the end, everyone just played a normal game. Sivir and Ahri died here and there but it was worth going down with a kill or their death didn't cause us too much trouble. Knowing that aura Sivir would possibly be a hindrance, I kinda had the motto of Baylife in my head and just went balls to the walls bot with Taric. Essentially, I got fed and snowballed into the other lanes -- there isn't really much else to say without sounding like a douchebag.

tl;dr no matter how troll people are, you can win as long as you man up and play smart and force the pressure on the enemy team.
