Jayce looks fun, but I don't like that character. I don't like his weapon, lore, look, gameplay, just everything about him I don't like. I would prefer ranged autos. It's kind of like spinning a revolver with empty chambers and some with bullets, you never know if you're gonna get a hit, or if your auto will be a dud. And, I like that a lot.
has anyone told you that you're insanely nitpicky? :p

IMO ADC is way harder than support. You talk about supports being the one making "plays", I only ever see supports using their skills appropriately to engage or disengage fights. It's down to the carry's mechanics to get an HP lead during trades, and in most cases it's down to the carry's positioning and target focus to win trades. If you're playing someone like Thresh, all you need to do is hit Q and E, use lantern properly, etc. Leona needs to hit E, then she can just go in and do her thing, Janna just needs to shield her carry and throw her Q in the enemy's general direction. Sure you can make more plays than the carry, because most supports have bigger play-making potential, but more plays doesn't mean more skill. ADC's need skill which makes them better in very subtle ways, and it's a lot harder to learn all those skills they need than it is to learn to hit skillshots and combo your spells properly, which is pretty straightforward.
But IMO ADC is also the least rewarding role to learn because even though it's arguably the hardest role to learn mechanically, it's also one of the hardest roles to carry with, and in a lot of cases, winning teamfights is a case of whose team is stronger, rather than who has the best mechanics. If you have superior mechanics, that isn't going to multiply your damage by x10 to make you kill the enemy tanks as fast as the enemy team is killing yours. You can't make any plays like kill both their carries in a teamfight because you'd get shut down really quickly, before you even did damage to their carries. You're limited to attacking whatever's safest to attack, and if the enemy team does more damage/is tankier, then guess who's gonna win the fight?
At least ADC is really fun, but it's not really optimal for carrying your way up the ladder.

^ This, also front page updated with champions I'll be playing. I don't actually own two but plan on buying (Gangplank & Blitzcrank), but they're in roles that I don't end up playing a lot and already have comfort picks in that don't usually get banned.
Short Term Goals: Silver/Gold/Platinum || Long Term Goals: Diamond/Master/Challenger

Here are two games that I feel like I did a lot in, or all that I could. But, the stats say that I was about as valuable as the support in dealing damage. Kalista game is Uranked. Vayne game is ranked.
