Lol, as a matter of fact I play both! I have bought 
Rengar today and have played Pantheon for the last 2 months. First thing: Pantheon is a lot easier to play and has a very strong early game. You can gank a lane at level 3 (sometimes even 2 if you're premade) and it will usually burn a Flash. I don't know a whole lot about Rengar yet, but you are way better mid-game and your early game sucks a bit. They have similar skills (a mini-nuke, a stun...) so it's really up to you which playstyle you prefer.
They both have garbage survivability, but Pantheon is usually easier to kill than Rengar. In terms of damage output, it is also very similar, with Rengar having the potential of one-shotting people, while Pantheon has to get up their a*se first to unload his combo, which is equally deadly. Pantheon has better ganks early game and you should abuse the fact you have a point-and-click stun, while it is usually hard to gank before level 5-6 with Rengar. They are both kind of useless in team fights (though I think Rengar has a decent role here, because he has the surprise one-shot potential, while Pantheon must fall on top of people and is visible at all times).

I wanted to know both their pros and cons, in terms of damage output, survivability, 1v1, ganking, usefulness in teamfights, etc.
