My friend a while back who actually introduced me to the game told me to use LC, and that it had better and more in depth guides than this site. I kept going to this site tho, as when I googled builds for LoL this site always came up first. The format is more clear, and the community just seems more accessible.
and on a side note, my friend tends to play games before me, and then I join him and surpass him in gameplay time...I remember he started MW2 in like Oct 2009, I did in Jan 2010, I ended up having around 900 hours of gameplay by June, him 300... ^_^
that happened with TF2 too...
Same thing with League now, just a little less extreme in the numbers
I always found that funny... LOL

I actually recommended to two of my classmates that they start playing today, and I think that they might. Of course I gave them Xaioli's referral link, because I'm a nice person, but if they ever need anything, I'll definitely be referring them to MOBAFire. :P
<3 I Ruv You.
Since everyone is sharing how they came to Mobafire, the current top Vladimir guide author brought told me to +1 his guide. Well, I did, but I wanted to check out this interesting site. "WTF is Mobafire?" Well, as I went through several forum pages, I decided that I liked this community, and although it wasn't as big as LC, it's generally nice and friendly :)
My friend went to visit family and friends in New Orleans, and came back saying "DOOD! You must play LoL!" and so I did. I got hooked because I can duo queue 100% of my games, and many of them are 4-man queue (with his 2 friends from New Orleans).
So then, I was like "DOOD! I don't know what to buy!"
and he was like "DOOD! Google that ****!"
So I did, and I found this site 5 out of 5 times googling "LoL (insert champion here) guide"
and so then I created a guide (now archived)
and as a subtle way to advertise, I just lurked the forums and posted as much as possible
then I got here :D

Nice B-Wong, now you will never again need to play solo queue :P
I remember when I came to mobafire, i was lv 2 or something like that, when i start playing game i always google guides for it (it's lame, but i hate failling at first account/save so i just start doing right). So i just googled guide for Master Yi ( +rep for everyone who started with Master Yi :P) and i found: Cutting with wuju style (DEWO's guide). And yeah, i pwned with that guide, but i didn't join it then...
