She's a lot of fun, and she is actually viable. She'll probably get a buff if all the people keep QQ'ing about how UP she is.
She's a better carry than Ashe imo; the snares can be used in team fights to stop anyone from getting to you, allowing you to position yourself safely to DPS everyone else down. With a range of 650, her melee attacks are simply amazing; no one gets away safely after a teamfight either, with her ult.
However, you need a certain playstyle to play her right, and a lot of people are QQing about how UP she is when she's actually great. So if you think you have what it takes to learn a new playstyle, then go for it; if you don't, don't bother because you'll think she's UP like all the other people who don't know how to play her.

I don't know if I agree with how viable she is. She's certainly a very fun champion, but her damage is somewhat lacking.
Her traps have great utility both for escaping and trapping enemies. The 2 trap limit is somewhat disappointing, but it's low CD encourages you to actively use it in battle. Her 90 caliber net is an amazing defensive tool that can easily push you just out of range of enemies or help you slow an enemy just enough to net a kill. She's actually an amazing escape artist because of these 2 skills. Grab Flash and you'll be very, very hard to catch.

She's not even close to as good as Ashe... Too many utility abilities that don't have strong damage output for my taste. Ashe provides CC and damage with all her spells, the only opposing ability being an additional gold for farming and built-in clairvoyance. I prefer true ranged carries, she is too much of a support role with a 1-trick pony snipe.

Sorry but i have to dissagre PFP. what definces a so called "true" carry. In my eyes a carry is a character with something to A. farm alot of gold. B. have a little edge over other champs. like ashe got her slow. yi got his insane speed. and trynd got invurn.
Lets make it clear that cait is a better farmer then anny other ranged carry. ashe can't nearly 1shot a creep wave. she got that gold bonus. but cait got her headshot, wich is a great farming tool. On the other abilitys. a carry is usless dead. so what does carrys have to survive? yi got once again: insane speed. trynd got his spin, ashe got her slow. Cait on the other hand have a slow, a blink and a imobalize.

Yeah she sounds great on paper; but when it comes down to carry your team to put the win on your ranked record, she does not provide the consistency I like to have in the champions I play in solo queue. Even with 8 kills early on, I could not do enough DPS to take an entire team down. She is awesome for single-targeting champions, but I just can't ever see myself choosing her in a competitive match as a ranged carry over an Ashe, Sivir, or Miss Fortune.
well we all have our favorites ^^ and to be fair. no 1 match upp with sivir. that ***** is just op... only got around 7 games with cait, but so far i played her. i can tell you. i have carried those games. And not with a much of problem
