TBH the two best enchantments are distortion and homeguard. The other are just trash compared to them in most cases. I take distortion every time I have ghost and flash or tp and flash. I take it when I seem to flash often but do not have another spell it enhances. Homeguards if I do not get them.

Distortion is nice if you feel that you NEED to have flash, ghost, or tele. Tele typically is only worth it if you go top, which can ensure a dragon or a gank bot, so in this case it is good if you are winning your lane. Ghost is only used if it accents your already strong spells and are needed to chase/flee both of which I would argue are sloppy and you could be doing better with ignite or flash as it is almost always better than ghost. Flash is your get out of jail free card which is always good and can be great if you need it to initiate or do something in particular. Take that for what you will but I pref alacrity or furor. All it is doing is potentially enabling something good

Enchantment: Alacrity with
Mobility Boots sometimes as it makes the reduced movement speed nearly the same as normal boots 2.


Alacrity will buy you the most time in the long run but furor is better if you can kite. I would take alacrity on pretty much everybody that can't kite optimal manner. I would take furor for the likes of Vayne/sivir styled characters, but if I am more caster oriented alacrity is almost always the way to go. AA's or furor based. As for Captain it is inferior to all of the other enchsnments most of the time (Thanks for the clarity Nameless.)

It can be used for splitpushing, sort of, but there are better options than it in most situations.
