Can someone plz explain to why me ELO in season 3 is at 1080 when i have 8 wins and 2 loses...?
I dont get it! Ive seen frieds of mind with over 1200 with 9/5 and over 1400 with 14/12 ....
I want to believe it doesnt have to do with the fact my last season was bad?!
Also i play support often so have more deaths than kills but alot of assists... could that have something to do with it..?

Plz someone explain

If you were in a lower Elo last season, you start at a lower Elo this season.

Not necessarilly your gaining increased Elo amounts for the first 30 or so games which you can use to get back to standard Elo.

your elo got a soft reset:

(Old elo+1200)/2=new elo.

And the elo/game is also reset soo helloooooooooooo placement matches.

Imo i don't think you should be able to due through the placement matches.

It would be unfair to bring you from like 700 elo to 1200 and take me down from 1900 to 1200. Not only would you have a huge chance of losing your first several placement matches, it punishes positive elo players too hard. soft reset was tough but fair.

I got pushed from just over 900 to around 1050, won one game so far and aiming to be above 1.2k before first 10 games are up. Will be there before first 5 are if I am focused.
