I'm just curious, what's the problem with Gamecam? I was planning on using it for recording, mostly because I have no other options, but if it has any noticeable problems (besides the watermark which I can work around) I could probably find another software to use.
Whenever I've tested it Vs. any other free recording programs the quality was always significantly lower than the others. Oh, and that ******** f*ing watermark ;)
And Restrict; Recording programs hit your computer HARD performance wise, I've got one super computer at home (8 processors, holy-**** gfx etc etc), and even that will lag if I go overboard when I'm recording.
Specially when I record for my PvP movie (World of Warcraft), with all the new effects and stuff, so 1v3-4-5's then can get a bit laggy.
You can try switching the process priority? (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, find it on the processor list, right click, gogo). Never put it higher than "High", as the last one can **** it up badly for you XD

Well im on to XSplit from Own3d, which is why i asked matt to add own3d bbcode. the only problem is, it still cuts my fps in half at the best of times, and at the worst it is 1/10th. I havent tried the lowest visual settings yet, but i feel like between xsplit running and recording my stream on own3d, it uses the majority of my RAM. i wish xsplit still had their screen capture feature, so i could post on youtube. :( maybe if they give out free copies to beta users, they will ad the capture feature. tha twould be awesome.
