The only problem is that in lower elo someone ALWAYS gets mad if they don't get top/mid. So lets she how far this will get you.

@ Lugi, I'd write a guide, but no one would look at it lol. Start with boots and pots, rush a philo stone, followed by whichever defensive boot is more appropriate, then immediate triforce.
After that either buld warmog, or finish shurelia, then buld whichever one you didn't just build. If your team already has a shurelia, it's generally better to go mogs, so you can charge it faster.
Then build FoN and Atma, obviously whichever you need first.
In lane, play passive, and just focus on getting possible cs, if you're gonna take a lot of damage it's not worth it to go for. Don't try and fight the enemy at all, unless your jungler is ganking, or you have a significant advantage. Use W and pots to sustain yourself. Remember, the point isn't to WIN lane, it's to SURVIVE lane, because you are very likely to outscale your enemy. You are a very weak laner, and a ridiculous teamfighter. If you're getting beat down badly in lane, you can get either an early negatron, or a chain vest depending on your lane, since you will upgrade either one later on anyway. You should be able to sustain fine using W pots, and your philo.
Level order R Q W E
Pack Ghost and Ignite.
Use 9/21/0

it would be better if you went HoG into Randuins if yer solo top
also i like to build him less of a tank and go boots 3 then HoG get triforce but go sheen first and get the defensive boots depending on what you need
i like to get a PD for the MS and such but only as a last item
id get a Maw instead of FoN but mainly cuz i like playing a more offensive hecarim

-_- go full aggressive or go passive + defense
double dorans TF is scary.
Or just go philo hog frozen heart or something.
Hecarim is easy to grasp as a top laner (enemy comes near you you q em)
He bullies melees quite hard.
EDIT: Oh yeah why the heck are you getting Atmogs
1) It's so much worse than before
2) Doesn't help your team at all
Buy some items that give you more presence, not items that make you a meatshield :/

On heca, isn't zeal a good item to start tri force with?
i prefer sheen for the extra mana and it makes his E much more effective since yer leveling last in most cases
